What I like most about him is that unlike barbers that talk too much, he does not bother his customer with nonsense and too much talk. The most he said was "comfortable sir?". As a professional he should be as comfortable as his clients. I feel like the West has lost all respect for culture of service that these gentleman are putting on display here. Best asmr video. This one hits on different levels. The quiet interior with faint sounds of busy traffic outside enhances the experience. Reminds me of being an expat in Asia and receiving this kind of service. The barber's footsteps. The sound of the water coming out of the faucet. The ticking of the clock that you hear sometimes and other times don't even notice. The hot towel. Most times I can't even stay awake after the first one. Great job capturing asmr lightning in a bottle.

I’ve seen his other barbershop videos but this one is my favorite. The Indian gentleman is by far the most meticulous. Truly a professional. Too bad there’s no one like him in California. I would make it a routine to visit him at least once a month. The way he shakes the towel before applying it shows his craftsmanship.

Yeah, full service things like head massage and craft shaving are available in the Us, but more expensive and harder to find. There’s plenty of normal massage places and plenty of foot spas in cities, medium sized and up.. black and Latin communities tend to have strong barber cultures which are also like social places… but I wish we had more of these kind of barbers and face/head massages. ASMR Twix has a ton of Japanese head massage places that seem amazing.

It's been years now and I still keep coming back here over and over again. This video has all the ingredients ASMR, from the stillness of the sounds, the clock in the distance (is that a clock..?) the gestures of the barber, the smooth colours.

Truly a class of its own. I have seen a lot of shaving videos. This is the only one in which the barber never ever shaves against the grain, never fumbles around at one particular spot. Watching these dedicated stokes just makes you appreciate this man's amazing craftsmanship.

Jonathan Long a strop doesn’t sharpen a blade. It polishes an already sharp edge finer than what steel or ceramic can. If it’s got any polish compound on it that will fill in microscopic nicks left or erase them from the steel and give you that true razor sharp edge

It's kinda shame we didn't see him cutting hair. Only his shaving skill and all around precision in everything he did was on such high level. Well maybe Harry will carry on with his passion and visit him again one day..

I firmly believe Mr. Kalim sir (the barber) can make me comfortable to eternity with such service. What a gem! I saw the entire video and I actually felt that I'll forget all my problems with such barber service. Very humbling to see such professionalism! I am from Mumbai, and I would love to meet Kalim sir!

I like to imagine this man runs his shop in a pocket dimension. You enter a tiny, abandoned storefront that suddenly blinks into life once you pass the door. Upon leaving, no time has passed and you look behind you to see nothing but the long abandoned remnants of a barbershop.

Very professional. The barber clearly cares for his customers ensuring a very relaxing experience. A skill sadly lacking in many areas of hospitality today. As soon as I win the lottery I will be there to sample luxury on a personal level!

This man is absolutely the epitome of class and excellence!!! Wow!!! Bravo!!! I want to go there just for this experience.

I'm convinced: This barber is an absolute chad of barbering service. We'd all be so lucky to experience this level of care just for facial hair.

I like that he asked if he was comfortable sir. Ultimate show of impeccable service by the barber. Seriously refined and relaxing. Can't say enough about the barber. Keep doing exactly what you are doing. It is excellence.

I have never wanted another man to rub my face and arms, but after watching this, I'm going to swim to India to have that man touch my face.

@Michael Bigdongovic I went there and in US dollars, it was 28$. That's half the amount that an average american wastes on junk food every day.

This is the gold standard by which all other professional shaves are measured. I am still unable to find one that comes close.

It’s hard to find anyone who still does these old fashioned full works shaves,much less anyone who can do them with such skill, attention, and precision. But if you’ve never had one, you don’t know what you are missing. One of the best treats you can have or buy for a man (dad, brother, friend).

This is how every barbershop should be, clean, classic, comfortable, cozy and quiet. This barber is very talented and professional, respect.

Certainly looks like a privilege to get a shave from that man. The wellbeing of his customers seem high on his priority list. 👍🏼

I dont remember the moment when i slept through this video. But for each time this guy asked “are you comfortable” i woke up. This guy is mystic. I enjoyed the whole video ...’sleeping’. Hats off.

When he askes if sir is comfortable, he's establishing if the towel is too hot for sir.

Believe it or not, the average guy pays $2 for a haircut and Shave in India. So $28 shave is also super expensive there

This guy is truly a barber surgeon. A professional in every aspect of his craft. There is even somewhat of a spiritual healing aspect to this with its ritualistic attention to detail. And just look at his face when he sits his client up. He’s proud of his work and enjoys every bit of it I’m sure.
