    I feel like the only negative side is feeling like shit when I don’t get a workout in. Rest days are so important but when I miss more than 2+ days in a row I’m an asshole to myself.

    YES! When I first started training it was horrible and I was sore, now been training for 4 years I’m addictive, built strength, release stress, look good, never feel guilt of over eating and the soreness feels so good!

    Yes, congrats on 200k! I spent a lot of years living on caffeine and cortisol. I hated it. But I changed my circumstances to be rid of the external stressors and slowly started getting better. The cortisol rush does feel good. But in all the bad years, I abused my system and it responded accordingly. Now I pay attention to what my body wants. I figure I’ll get further down the road toward my goal if my body is cooperating with me.

    You guys are the best 💯!!! By the way I’m not addicted. When I feel like resting, I legit take the day off without worrying about it. I even let the pedal off my nutrition and indulge in a little something I like. Works amazing! No fat percentage added.

    I'm addicted to my hormone production. I walk along for the serotonin kick and cortisol release. Its not the training or exercise but I feel so incredible afterwards and feel fantastic throughout the day. However... when I'm stressed out I do exercise more because it takes me awhile to get things off my mind.

    I've battled with exercise addiction for years. Fitness consumes my thoughts, and all I want is to lift, do cardio, or be generally moving. Being sedentary and resting is like torture to me, and I feel guilty. But logically, I know it isn't healthy, and I've finally been trying for balance. 1) Instead of lifting 6-7 days per week for 60-90 min per, I've scaled back to 4x per week (two upper and two lower) for 30-45 min per. 2) Instead of doing an hour of cardio every day, I've scaled back to only 150 min per week of LISS for the health benefits only. 3) For daily general movement, I'm keeping my steps to 10-12K per day instead of the usual 20-25K. 😆 **My hope is that getting in more rest and relaxation will allow me to sleep a lot better.

    Oh I really find myself in this description... Working out intensely makes me feel so good because I can go all out with my energy and finally come down a little bit afterwards. If I don't workout or I have to sit for a longer period of time I get so stressed and my body starts to cramp up. My doctor said I'm exercise addicted and I should stop working out, but I feel like society treats active living and discipline as "not normal" whereas an unhealthy sedentary lifestyle is considered normal. That's holding me back from taking a break, I don't want to be unhealthy... (I do eat a lot though I'm at a very low body fat percentage so I don't see any metabolic adaptions)

    I got covid and I could not work out for 3 to 4 weeks. I really missed it and now I'm over it I appreciate the fact that I'm healthy enough to train. I do something daily. I may do strength training on one day and do a simple cardiovascular on another. The problem is most people don't really train at all I know that's probably not true with people on this channel. I'd say if you can work exercise into your daily routine then do it!

    I work out daily for 2-3 hours, but I struggle with insomnia and most of the times I lose my appetite and force myself to eat. I can relate to the “too much caffeine and stress” part. It’s super hard to lose weight for me but I can gain weight super easily. I am sure my cortisol level is high all the time but I just can’t rest.

    I weight train an hour a day 6 days a week, walk a total of 7 miles a day and an very active on a working farm. I am a 44 yr old woman, I am stupid thin, eat about 2200 to 2300 cals a day. I cannot build any new muscle. Training 3 days a week, I just pound on flabby fat. I dont have weight to lose, but my hormones are also so low they don't register on old tests. This is not the typical scenario you speak of. Thoughts?

    I identify with this SO much. It seems the only way I can feel 'normal' is when I've had an intense workout (I do running and in the gym I do cardio and circuit-style resistance training, 2-3 hours each day) which likely elevates my cortisol, adrenaline, and endorphins (which I interpret as my normal) and any days I don't train at least 2 hours intensely I feel physically sick, fatigued and depressed. Even after 13 hospitalizations for various health issues such as kidney failure, liver complications, hypoglycemic comas and heart complications as a result, I can't seem to stop or cope with life in any other way. For so long I've felt alienated in my struggles and wish there was a community that could offer some support or identification of my struggles

    I think you can get addicted to exercise, and get to the point where you will defend it by saying you just love or like exercising

    Yes this was me for about a decade from high school until my body finally couldn’t take the stress. Now I deal with chronic injuries that I’m working hard to rehab. Exercise addiction is very real. Couple that with a less than ideal diet and it’s only a matter of time before it catches up with a person

    I love the Mind Pump Crew! If you are here because you finally found the sweet spot of working out with weights, I would love to hear! I am a 51 Year old male, about 1 year into weight training and I try to work out 5 days a week but sometimes it really wears me out. I do anabolic type training. Any tips at this age range?

    One question; when everything in this talk is me. All. Including injuries and everything. What do you I do when I cut down training and then get totally depressed? I realised a week ago I had a serious problem and had a trainer make me a small, very accurate program to stick to. Now I find myself in bed, in tears 24-7. It sucks and I feel like life is not worth living

    I'm actually the opposite. I know it's good for me but I struggle with consistency and my diet. I struggle just to do the trigger sessions. Yet I go through withdrawals when I'm too stagnet. It's annoying cause everyone I hear here is addicted but I'm not. Need help with that haha...

    is this a serious video or it’s just a comedy and i’m not able to realise it?? 😄😄 It’s actually hylarius that these three guys are saying: “do you want to improve?? well train less and eat more!!” 😂😂 i mean… they do not seem to act like in a comic video, but still what they’re saying is comic!! “you don’t have to eat less calories… you have to make your body wanted to be leaner and muscular” ahahahahah whaaaat?? Hey listen body… you know what…. lean and muscular is good, do you understand me?? so.. i will not train and i’m gonna eat all the shit that i want, but hey… you have to want to staly lean and muscular all right??? so i reccommend you… stay lean and muscular!!! 😁😁😁 i mean… can this be serious?? 😅😅

    Sounds like bs to me. Ronney coleman and arnold Schwarzenegger lifted weights obsessively and were world champions. Yet these guys are tiny as crap trying to say exercise less.
