Are we being ageist when it comes to the Fiat 500X

The Fiat 500X is going on about nine years now and has recently had an update. But despite the update, it still feels too old when compared to its rivals such as the Volkswagen T-Roc or Mazda CX-30. But are we just being ageist? Look, in a very competitive market, and when it comes to cars, there is no space for good, you have to be great. It's unfortunate for this updated model, but it is just the way things are.

I just love how retro & fun the Fiat 500 range is 🥰 one or two interior tech upgrades are necessary, although they don’t bother me too much. Every drive is such a fun one in one of these! ❤️🔥

The hoot test is genius. I so concur with it as a review issue. Our Peugeot 2008 has a puny pathetic hoot - I've contemplated asking Peugeot to upgrade it for me. 😄

These European city cars are designed to look good and hoot to say 'hi' rather than a 'f*k off'...
The Fiat range is quite old in Europe. The latest model launched in Europe from Fiat is the 500e (not available in SA). The 500x and Tipo/Egea have been available since 2015, the Panda since 2012 and the ICE 500 since 2007. In Brazil on the other hand, their lineup is newer.
At least the dashboard isn't covered with that gastly " Tablets " and the console with piano black.😉

Whats it like on fuel mine is the 1.6 diesel and its really good 😊

@@monarch7743 the diesel consumes around 6-7L per 100km ...its okay but not he best in this class
Not a bad car, pricey now and a bit "older" eventhough it's updated. But If I was in the market for this, I would have preferred the previous 1.6 petrol, manual.
Based on a jeep renegade. Both made in the same factory. Same engine and gearbox too... Not sure I'd spend that kind of money on a brand with a little support base left in this country.
