I'd also like to note that during Augustus reign, so not too long after Caesar death, there are written texts that certify the low birthrates, the promiscuity of roman women and men, the complete loss of family values. Augustus tried to fix it bringing back the "Mos Maiorum", roman traditional values. Didn't really work that well. Perhaps with artificial wombs we can put and end to this type of problems?

And we're rapidly approaching a point where if we get a Caesar in the near future, he may have to consider implementing full Sov Russia style measures to pump the birthrates back up. I'm talking about 3 AM break-ins, dragging people out of their homes gagged and bound, and tossing them into unmarked vans to be taken to underground camps where they will be compelled to procreate. The men don't leave until they've knocked up enough women, women don't leave until they've had enough kids that are alive on arrival. Don't want to raise kids because you think they'll be a burden on your life? Not a problem, the camp will raise the children. We just need to get people busy on making them. It sounds ugly, but I think this might be the one solution to this modern problem that will resolve this issue for good, if pulled off well. It's plain to see that the current generation of people are a lost cause, but from them we might have a chance to forge a new generation capable of leading the future.

Honestly - As an American who loves my country and countrymen…I no longer believe in our political system - fully. I believe we need someone at the top who has his and his family’s future and well being tied to the success of the nation and has absolute authority over every government body. Presidents know they’ll only have 8 years so they don’t care if their policies will cause damage 20 years from now. They only think short term. The only people thinking long term for America are the unaccountable corporate executives who only care to profit and plunder.

It'll be someone with an intense hatred for the current government. Someone with a very loyal, well armed, and well trained force capable of challenging local militaries. Think National Guard, not the entirety of the US Military. Someone capable of leading as a figurehead the average citizen can respect. It'll also be someone who can only gain by doing so.

I may be a great general and have a philosophical mind but i am no cesar. This new world is built in such a way so that a new cesar can not come. Even if he does it wouldnt matter. He wont last long but hopefully with his actions it will ignite a flame. A flame that would give birth to someone greater.

Ive been waiting for someone to make a video like this for a while now. You focused primarily on the political aspect of this but I think that there's also a spiritual element to it. I think that the new Caesar would also be seen as a messianic figure of divine authority as well. Anyways those are my two cents on it. Great video really illuminating 👍

I think the existential question “is exploitation of conquered/slaves morally justified?” Because if they were an equal or superior force they would be worthy of respect however since they were conquered they are morally beneath you and thus entitled to whatever mercy your whims provide them. If the roles were reversed they would surely treat you the same way.

I loved the exploration of the characters surrounding and backing Julius Caesar, it's a great way to get a view of the landscape of power brokers at the time and their respective sources of wealth and influence. There are probably hundreds of men capable of becoming a Caesar like figure, but how many of these men are connected to backers with wealth such as Crassus or the earned loyalty of a military base. It has been shrewd of the current US establishment to be aggressively weeding out men with the disposition and personality profile of a Caesar, because the military has been made hostile to men of ambition and cunning, because this is a clear path to power. The best alternative with a culture rewarding of ambitious men may be instead through PMCs like Blackwater.
