Yekindar will do the most bizarre things when you watch him because hes just lost his confidence i assume, Skulls will never reach peak yekindar but he could become a great system player, yes they paid too much for him but hes not the part that is missing in this team.

    maui describes a good team. good team is sufficient. the redpilled definition of superteam is a slur for non-salary capped rosters that are born of buying expensive players who have a lot of prior individual accolades from other lineups that are overly hyped, come together and typically fail (2023 Cloud9, Astralis etc.). VP are a good team and bought 1 top 5 player, even if they had "homegrown" top 10 players which they don't, how would that be a superteam compared to a good/great team like 2015 fnatic or 2018 astralis?

    Exactly. Superteams are by definition teams that combine more star power than you would ever need for a great team. Electronic joining VP shifts them from having zero actual star players into having one such player. Cloud9 adding Perfecto and electronic gave a team with a star duo another star duo on top of that, or so was the perception. That you can call a superteam, or at least a fraudulent one seeing that axile was nowhere near a star and could hardly be trusted to be even mediocre for that matter.

    The k0nfig thing is just a misunderstanding. When k0nfig joined, hampus wasn't even on the team. Then they had REZ, Brollan and k0nfig as the rifle trio. Brollan and k0nfig had a massive role conflict and there was even some overlap with REZ as well. REZ was basically put into support roles at that point. Brollan and k0nfig, however, did actually share positions based on the map. On some maps Brollan had his preferred role and k0nfig was playing in a new position for him, and vice versa. So instead of just putting one of them into their preferred roles on all maps and let the other try to learn new positions on all maps, they juggled between them in a way that Brollan might play aggro in map1 of a bo3 series, then k0nfig plays aggro in map2 and for the decider Brollan is again playing aggro. So you are not doing the same things and communicating in the same way from one map to another. This was a bad way to try to fix the massive problem that was created when k0nfig was signed to replace hampus, which never made sense rolewise. When hampus joined back after aleksib was kicked, things may have been different. But k0nfig definitely didn't lie, as hampus insinuates.

    1:06:40 i think the opposite is true. How many times have we seen young stars just pop off, play 10 lans without stopping and thinking. Its one of those things, it sucks for us, but i think its good for spirit that they have time to reevaluate what they are doing right and wrong. Even more so after a game like the Faze vertigo map. Everything I have seen from halley their coach just tells me he will point out every detail they did wrong and he isn't afraid to literally call them shit or a player out for being dumb. Even donk, who had a few mistakes, with over peeking and not knowing when to fall back or ask for flashes. I am sure they are working on all of this as we speak. And months in scrims where they can re train their muscle or brain memory to make it second nature is better then flying to lan to lan to lan and never actually developing.

    Luckily the situation with the lack of maps is not yet so critical for Donk, as to deny him the potential HLTV #1. Currently Donk has 29 LAN maps this year, Zywoo has 35. If Zywoo goes all the way in Pro League, he will not get more than around 20 map. So he will have 55 map vs 29. Howerver, since Donk plays BB Dacha and Zywoo does not, even if Spirit play bad and go out in the groups somehow, they should get at least around 6 maps from that tournament, which would bring Donk’s map number to 35, so the difference would be 20 maps between Zywoo and Donk. After BB Dacha, both Zywoo and Donk will have all the same tournaments, so even if we assume that they both perform equally well in the remaining tournaments of the year, and the 20 map difference shall still be present when the year ends, it is not a big enough difference to be a deciding factor in HLTV rating, especially if Donk’s rating shall still be significantly higher than Zywoo’s. In 2022 Zywoo also had about 20 more maps than S1mple and the same rating, but S1mple still got #1 that year, because other factors, such the number of MVPs, were given more weight. Thus, absent any unexpected problems, such as problems with visas, Donk should still be in the best position to get HLTV #1 at the end of the year.

  • @allmite

    @allmite

    3 ай бұрын

    @davidmontgomery1442 These are your subjective superstitions. Spirit, on average, will be playing against better teams at Betboom Dacha than Vitality will in Pro League, thus those maps will have more value, in my opinion. Also, BB team is not even in that tournament this time.

  • @allmite

    @allmite

    3 ай бұрын

    @davidmontgomery1442 I didn’t say that the tournaments themselves are equal, I commented on the quality of opponents. Vitality in their Pro League group will be playing against "Sharks" and then the winner of m80/Betboom. In other words, tier 2/3 teams. BB dacha, on the other hand, has only 2 such teams, and Spirit might not even play against them at all. Everyone else at that tournament is top 3-13. Thus, even though the tournament itself is less prestigious, I don’t think it would be appropriate to give less weight to the maps played in it, if they are played against better quality opposition. In any case, I highly doubt that the race for HLTV #1 this year will be so close that something as trivial and petty as this will actually be taken into consideration. And I am talking about Zywoo instead of m0NESY because even though I am a m0NESY fan, I cannot reasonably expect him to keep up this insane carrying, it cannot be sustainable. Thus, I also do not expect his team to go as far as Spirit or Vitality in the remaining tournaments of the year, unfortunately.

    I view TL like I viewed Cadian's Heroic. I don't think they have the raw firepower or hard carry to beat the big dogs on the biggest stages. Naf and Twistzz are both second and third stars who the community glazes like they are gods. They need an Elige who is going to just not let the team lose certain games on big stages and will them to wins. I also disagree with Maui saying -skullz + jks. This team already has passive fraggers, I get they need an anchor still and that there is two sites, but they also need someone who is going to open up rounds on T-side.

    Zywoo really lives Rent Free in Thorin's head. Even when he is not playing, even when no one is talking about him, Thorin never fails to bring him up. Zywoo has been better than Niko, since CS2, but he criticizes Zywoo and praises Niko. Truly knows nothing about CS plus filled with hate and anger and frustration.

    Pointing out that one of the greatest players of all times has a choking problem in Majors and prestige events isn't hating. To whom much is given much is expected. Even Blad3 said it on HLTV Confirmed yesterday. So, does Blad3 hate ZywOo?

    Another K0nfig defense/Apologist.... K0nfig was playing in a structured team. It was Astralis and he was still rowdy. There was an Interview with BlameF and k0nfig in one the blast series. Where BlameF as funny anecdote said that k0nfig wont listen to Gla1ve when in pistol or save round where Gla1ve would ask him to buy smoke or flash. k0nfig would just buy deagle and say sorry boss. next time for sure.... That's K0nfig. I agree with Maui here. Its done. K0nfig defense needs to stop. Hate's when someone bottle necks a great player. BlameF gets free pass.

    22:10 in what world is VP a super team ? - Jame is not a star awper , he isn't even the 3rd best awper from the CIS , maybe a solid IGL (they made no playoffs this year so even that is debatable) . - Electronic hasn't been a Top 20 player for 2 years now , he's been solid this year though . - FL1T and Fame never been Top 20 players ever , their stats are inflated because of the RMR and the closed qualifiers for Dallas .

    -only not top20 because not enough maps last year -everyone with eyes and a pulse would say jame is a top5 igl right now -5x major winners -norbert literally is the highest rated overpass player last 6 months on LAN top20 you want lifetime achievements? they have the hardware you want recent stats? the numbers show fl1t and norbert are both insane right now the buyout price? 1.5m. you dont spend that if you arent building a superteam. hltv top20 peddlers are so cringe and i question if they ever truly think for themselves

    @@Mauisnake There are no real star IGLs. That just doesn't count for anything. Norbert may be a star on overpass, but he's a mid player on the rest of the pool. There are plenty of non-star players in the scene who also have great stats on individual maps. Real star players are the ones that are great on most maps and mid on one or two individual maps, not the other way around. Both fl1t and fame have good stats only because 2/3 of their games have been against teams outside the top10 and they have a high floor as a team. Neither of these guys have shown any star quality against actually good teams. Even karrigan has better rating against top5 than this duo over the past 3 months ffs. If this VP is supposed to be a superteam, then it's the weakest superteam ever assembled on paper. Might not be the weakest in reality, because superteams usually end up in disaster. But even that will only underline the fact that they're not a superteam.
