Plus the AI in the vocaloids is not anything like the AI in stuff like chatgtp or stable diffusion or whatever else the different AIs are called, its more of a relatively complex bit of code designed specifically for the vocaloid software in order to assist the user. It's much closer to the program used to draw lines in the right places in every fram of spiderverse or design the snowflakes in frozen. It doesn't eliminate the need for human input, it just makes it slightly less tedious. Plus, I am of the belief that AI is a very misleading name, there is nothing intelligent about that stuff. Come talk to me when it starts coming up with novel solutions instead of just scraping them from the Internet or having solutions programmed in, then maybe I might start considering the potential of it being truly intelligent.

Crypton stopped using the Vocaloid software (owned by Yamaha) and moved to piapro when Vocaloid added AI tuning. So Miku and other Cryptonloids do not use AI at all but the vocal synths that still use the vocaloid software do.

@@NullAmbition Yeah but it can be helpful. I'm personaly ok with AI if permission is involved and a lot of the vocal synth community feel the same way. With vocaloid tuning, the voice providers are asked about it first but with things like ai art, there is no permission. A few other vocal synth softwares also use ai tuning.

@@MiniEmber I'm not entirely against AI because it can be useful to use as a reference or to correct some things, but that's interesting to know. The only reason I made this video was to clear up the idea that they're intrinsically linked. But still, that makes a lot of sense.

@@NullAmbition Yeah Ai is unfortunately misused most times. It sucks. Also a popular Vocal synth software that uses AI is Synthv. A lot of vocal synths on there have AI in their name. For example GUMI AI or Teto AI

AI vocal synths do not generate notes or music for you, and you have to tune them just like vocaloid for them to sound good
