Are the Rollright Stones Actually Ancient Energy Fields? 🔮 Mystic Britain | Smithsonian Channel
Ойын-сауық
Many people think ancient neolithic structures, such as the Rollright Stones of Warwickshire, were built on ancient energy fields. Some even claim they are able to tap into this energy.

I walked around the stones in a blizzard on New Years Eve back in 2002. I am still charged up....
Anyone know the title of the violin piece used at the beginning of this video? It's very serene, heard it more than once on TV, but cant find its title or player.
Its things liek this that make me angry when the younger generations say theres nothing in England worth preserving. Ill be the first to say that multiculturalism is cool and important, but there is food, culture and history to be prseserved
This is a fantastic series, and it's great to have Clive Anderson and his wicked sense of humour, back on our screens.
This stuff blows my mind. I love it. But would love even more to know how it got there and what it was for.

Unfortunately pretty much everything in the video is straight up History Channel level conspiracy theories. I guess the Smithsonian is following the same path they did.

It was for the mythology of a pre-scientific people. People can put great effort into their superstitions.

Its a ring of rocks. It has no powers or energies. Its just a ring of rocks that a man has convinced himself has powers because at a subconscious level he needs them to. We can discuss their possible religious or cultural purposes for ancient peoples. But they arent full of some unknown energy. You may say “prove it then!” But it isnt the job of science to prove something doesnt exist. Its the job of the claimant to prove their crazy claim. Otherwise i could claim “there is a unicorn living on saturn!” And say “you cant prove me wrong.” Its my job to prove it does exist. So until one of these ancient aliens conspiracy theorists actually sit down and do the hard work of attempting to prove their theories beyond “you can just-feel it man,” its safe to assume it doesnt exist.

@AVA, Sh!t mate, you must be a real blast at parties. Geezus
The question posed in the video's title is interesting. However, you don't try to answer the question in the video.
Could anyone help me? I'm trying to find this beautiful music at the begining of the video.. 💓
She's doing ritual magic clearing and I suspect with her yoga reference she knows, at least peripherally, there is something energetically happening in that spot.
I love how he realizes that after all the mysticism and mysterious energy talk, it could have just been a track, with rocks for people to throw!! I don't discount the mystical aspect, bit sometimes we look to deep.

Those are huge stones. It would have taken people a lot of effort to move them. They served some purpose not to just throw rocks... I don't believe in the mystical aspect.. energy etc.

There is no mystical or supernatural element. This whole video is just pseudoscience.

Where on earth did you get that from. Go throw some stones
Great video. Thanks so much
Commenters, please. Lighten up, Buttercup.
"Which way round should I go?" "Clockwise." OBVIOUSLY! don't want the fairies to get you if you go widdershins! :P
We need to harness such energy,if it's proven real by science
No
I like your video
Stone collectors are participating in energetic magic.🙏💕
“Do you think you absorb any energy from the stones?” “Definitely! I’m a yoga teacher...” .....okay lady

Why every Ancient Alien theories always connecting the Ancient Druid Ruins with giants? Why never with Aurochs or even Mammoths? Are those ancient people never thought about burden animal?
You really weren't treating this ancient sacred spot with a great deal of respect.
Hello from Albania illyria
I slept in there last year and did'nt feel a thing
Do aviation vids please
Yoga teacher believes in mystical woo woo. So shocking.
"I don't believe in energy fields". Okay, things exist whether you believe in them or not. Until you know one way or the other, you don't know at all.
A running track. Well i'll be... For all the intellectuals who have no doubt studied the place, few have landed on the purest truth. It was an early version of a track. That's all folks! 🤷🏼♂️
It's concrete.
Pseudo-science claptrap like this is precisely why I don't have cable. I expected more from the Smithsonian. Unsubscribed.

Let's define our terms first. What is an "energy field"? What kind of energy: electrical, radioactive, etc.?
@olbradley
3 жыл бұрын
There is no such thing as an “energy field” in the way the video references it. There is however such thing as an electromagnetic field which is a completely different thing. It’s actually pretty fascinating, id recommend you read an article or watch a KZread video about it or something, quite interesting in my opinion.
my guess, its alien running track
This was very quaint. But I expected more scientific explanations from a Smithsonian video. Otherwise it was charming.
Yea yea sure sure
It's a brain cuz all is a brain. 🍄
No.
A bunch of rocks arranged in an imperfect circle... What's so mystical about that?
British humour
This has got to be the worst and most scientifically mis-informative title and Smithsonian video yet. This goes beyond the definition of just pseudoscience to the point where it is genuinely harmful to those who don’t know otherwise.

Genuinely harmful? How? And to whom?
Schtick like this is designed to trivialize sacred spaces. Sad.
🙃
Saying an expert on fairies might have the answer is just terrible. Learn science and stop attributing things to "magic" The Smithsonian should be ashamed of itself for even letting this old man speak on the subject. There is no magic energy field it's a circle of rocks and human like patterns. Ffs

I love the music that went with this. but otherwise i did not like this. i've seen this show on the channel. and i never could get into it. it is to flippant (lack for a better word.) for me.
They’re just stones people 🤦🏽♂️
No obviously, why is the Smithsonian channel putting up History channel type nonsense
I can't watch this series; the tone is all wrong, for me: Anderson ruined what could have been a great series with his incessant, cringe-worthy attempt at humour. He makes it sound like a kids' program from the 1970s.
