For over 30 years, the #CivicSi has developed a large following of enthusiast from its affordable price, easy to drive nature, and easy nature to tune the heck out of the motor and get more power. In 2017, #Honda shocked us with the first ever Turbo #HondaCivicSi and some were not happy with the loss of the signature #VTEC snarl of the old K-series engines. For 2020, the Civic #Si gets a few light tweaks to improve the styling, acceleration, and technology and for $25,000, it's one of the best performance bargain available today.

@@williamsaad6833 I drive a 17 Canadian Si and it fascinates me how different the Canadian version is this generation. The differences are actually summed up in that the US model is based on an Ex-T, where the Canadian Si was a touring model with the safety sensors removed. The actual reasoning iirc was that civics are significantly more popular in canada and they have to add in a little more value to keep it relevant up here. also fun fact, Canadian civics in general have a 2x larger windshield washer tank and is placed on the driver side. Incredibly underrated feature that I can dump over a gallon of washer fluid once the low indicator shows up (which apparently is also a Canadian thing).

As someone who autocrosses my 2019 SI. I would've rather wanted to see a slightly longer gearing. In autocrossing I find myself shifting to 3rd gear often. Second gear tops out at 57mph. There is a lot more time to be gained by saving the second to third gear shift. Could probably get under 6 seconds to 60mph.

Does the change in the final drive ratio help the car get to 60mph before you have to shift to 3rd gear? That was the issue in the MY2016-2019, the non-SI could hit 60mph b4 3rd whereas the SI would need 2-shifts to hi 60 around the same time.

Nice video. One thing...you might consider replacing the camera that hangs down between the front seats facing forward...it can't handle the dynamic range in lighting between the interior/dash and the outside world thru the windshield...the outside world just gets blown out quite frequently. Anyway, something to think about. Not sure what sensor size would handle that, but you could start at micro four thirds. But in any case, content is king and you are doing a great job with good content.

With about $2500 - $3000 in upgrades you can achieve about 315 WHP. Thats more then the type R. So get a used 17 Si for 21K, get the mods and you’re still under 25K. I have spent about $1600 in mods and I’m pushing 280 WHP and i love it.

2020 has the LED headlights, front garnish and rear garnish change, different wheels and red trim seats/dash, active sound (which I hate), gearing is a little different so the 6th gear is shorter that means if you drive a lot on the highway it’ll be at a higher rpm when cruising so if you drive on the highway a lot it might get annoying compared to the previous years, on top of that the Honda sensing is on this one.

Depends on practicality really. Entirely different cars. Brz/86 are super fun to drive in windy roads because of the RWD but are slow in straight lines. Si is faster in a straight line and still fun on windy roads thus not as fast on the corners since it’s FWD. Both are fun manual transmission cars. When you compare them both I think the si is a better value money wise.
