Are the "Boys" divided, deluded or worse? Wajahat & Ayesha Siddiqa debate the Pak Army

The #Boys are back in town, but they're in trouble. The faceoff with the #PTI has put the #pakistanarmy in a mess when it comes to public support, unity of command, and the most important factor: morale.
#wajahatsaeedkhan debates with leading military scholar #ayeshasiddiqa, about what's next with the world's fifth largest fighting force, considering that #imrankhan has won the latest round.
Based between New York, London and Pakistan, Emmy-nominated journalist #wajahatsaeedkhan breaks down the latest from New York.

I realized a marked difference of demeanor between expression of men of letters and women of letters. If Ayesha had less to worry about her status and presentstion and had she been talking to her mom she had this to say Mujhe lugta he k Asim Munir (AM) ki maa ne kisi qabooliyet ki ghari me jo dua AM k liye ki ho gi wo poori hoi he. Or AM ne tender age me hifz k doran jo maarein khYein hain un ki badolat ye aik shattered personality ka admi tha or he. Is ko is k barŕe bahaduri or afsari ka sabq dete rahe or ye bichara apni Mental health me sink hota raha. On another level he looks like a severe case of child abuse. This explains why he is on the move at critical junctures. And this also explains Ayeshas observation that he is a tool to handle IK. But but but ....I also want to take it to a different direction and pray for a touch of sympathy. Had he courage to say no he wd not hv joined army had he courage he wd not hv accepted any promotion. Had he courage he wd not hv pledged to NS. He seems not to be the one intentionally taking decisions. He is no courage to either say no or do anything against the people around him to displease them. He is at the LOWEST level of MH. HAVE SOME SYMPATHY.

Perfect, powerful and in-depth analysis on current affairs of Pak Army .. we know COAS is in trouble .. but he has bought this chair at the price of honor .. now he is indebted to the investors, and resulted is the chaos that country is suffering.. Dr Ayesha rightly mentioned overhauling that is needed in institutions but the matter is who has the guts to do that .. only Khan if he gets the team and power will be able to do! Not even once this analyst mentioned that he was selected not only by BAJWA bug by NS also, this one fact adds lot of dimensions to the analysis. As a public health specialist I would say that the Data collection is all skewed.

If it's true that CC Lahore has resigned for right reasons; I shall stand and solute him for his courage! May Allah protect our beloved country and guide people in the power corridors as well as all of us. May Allah give courage to all of us to change and fear Allah. "One hour in pursuit of justice is better than 70 years to worship of Allah by spending every day fasting and every night spent praying." Prophet Mohammad (pbuh).

Superb I am die fan of Madam Ayesha since she wrote his book in 99. Any way I think this is time to decide that we have to save our future and to save our army for I have some thing in my mind... 1. Separate Pak Army from all business and civil commercial activities. 2. All business incorporated of Pak Army should be take over by government of people of Pakistan. 3. Children of any Army officials are not allowed to study abroad. 4. If any retired official want job in civilian institutions have to surrender his pension from army 5. After retirement official not allowed any business activity out of country. Thank you this is all I have in my mind.

Wajahat according to aysha discussion it gives a perception she is in favour of army . She should discuss the role of bajwa in Pakistan politics. How can our army support these culprits politicians. Why we start hating army she did not mention the reason. We were the people who were defending our army on every platform. But now we feel shame and believe that what PML N and indian media was saying about them was correct. We were fools. I dont understand how can they support PML N and PPP. These parties bashing them more then other political parties. How they treating pakistani media in these days, i have never seen any amry official trail in our courts . Why???? They deserve to hate . Im not talking about our jawan. We cant ask any questions from them because we are bloody civilians. But they need our yex money They cant hide behind our martyrs. Its illogical that we cant talk these things about them because they defend country.

Another fantastic and thought provoking discussion… It seems from the context of the logic pertaining to the acceptability of Asim Munir is stemming from a diluted nucleus that is equivalent to animosity. In other words requirement or the job description for the next army chief was to ensure the person should hate Imran Khan. Using the word hate not envy because the next army chief had to make this a personal agenda. If that’s the case then Asim Munir was a mediocre but a choice that fits the bill. And your point on stacking the deck is absolutely the pointed end of a needle. Would be awesome to hear your complete thoughts. This roaming around and not being put; is he investing or in search of a hide out. Do u think he has some clarity that he is entrapped or deceived by Bajwa.
