I took a chance and got my hands on a Horsemeat pedal for a very good price, and I was pleasantly surprised! I absolutely LOVE this pedal… And it sounds amazing no matter which guitar Im playing at the time and it goes well with other overdrive pedals also. I definitely do not regret the purchase.

Nice job. The Mary Cries arrived yesterday but I haven't had the chance to plug it in yet. I was never a fan of the Dyna Comp or Boss, but this is a different thing. I'll go slow getting into it. I am also curious how it will sound going into a Walrus Audio Fathom reverb which is also new for me, the big "effecty" reverbs as opposed to the little "always on splash" amp verb.

I think the PRS Mary Cries falls into the "it makes everything sound better" type of pedal. I like my Keeley Plus but I've underestimated the tone shaping abilities of compressors for way too long....especially with the variety currently available. I'm looking at the Empress MKII, Source Audio Atlas, this PRS, Cali 76, Drybell Module 4 (new), and some others. Any recommendations?

@@HRSP725 I had a bit of detour in my decision making and first picked up a Keeley Halo.....it is one of those "special purchases" that I was trying to talk myself out of for months but is completely awesome. In the same way, I keep on coming back to the the Cries Mary. Optical compressor with the output of the fame LA-2A unit and works great as a boost that thicks the tone a bit...It really is awesome but I just wish it had a bit more control other units have like the Walrus Mira and others. I'll probably grab the PRS after overthinking it like I did before grabbing the Halo.
