Ive dived deep in the abrahamic religions, hiduism, taoism, buddhism, numerology, and inevitably all sorts of philosophies, which also lead me to explore the esoteric and mystical side of abrahamic relegions like sufism, gnosticsm, the essenes the kabballasts etc etc etc and the esoteric in general, (alchemy astrotheology, theurgy) The point im making is ONLY if you understand Islam truly, you will realize that Islam encompasses all of these in its entirety. This was a question we were all waiting to hear an answer about-is it a sin?, is it haram? Etc and Aba Al Sadiq FHIP explained it very clear and many people who use it for personal purposes and spiritually can confirm that that is what these plants do, they connect you to other realms.

1. Seed bearing plants, are given as **Food** (mouth, chewing). 2. Whenever their use was recorded, they are used in a prescribed manner, for a prescribed purpose, by prescribed people with prescribed relationships between each other and prescribed locations, for prescribed situations. Not the way in which many people use them today.

@@Hakimaalalmahdi where did I say it should not be eaten? It is identified and given as part of our Food. Which means, that it is to be consumed by the majority as food is consumed. Also, as the records show, whenever there was a requirement for it to be used in other ways such as in oils, there were clear instructions given, about who should use it, how, and along with what. The relationship between the people was also clearly stated, and the purpose clarified. It's not enough to just say to all ages, do it responsibly. It should be clarified how to use it responsibly, who one should and should not use it around. It should be clarified what is irresponsible use of it. Because that is the problem we are currently having on a mass scale. Even the ones who use it irresponsibly say, G-d gave it, and then further stain the reputation of G-d.

Thank you Aba Al Sadiq (fyip) for bringing clarity and wisdom to the matter of comsupmtion of natural plants, which all have powerful affects on the mind and soul, and a sourse of spiritual experiances and healing properties. Thank you for sharing your knowledge of what is written. A lot of Christians I know would disagree but I know the written word now. This is something I’m not interested in but I’m sure there are a lot of natural plants that God has given us that would be so much better for a body than the prescription drugs that are given at a drug store that do more harm than good.

It’s so true really depends on your awareness and level of faith to actually benefit from these plants and get that benefit on being in a spiritual journey with yourself and God. Doesn’t benefit at all if your using it for the wrong reasons.

Wow, this makes total sense! So many people have extremely spiritual experiences whilst under the influence of marijuana or ayahuasca, etc. but the scholars make it out to be a sin - which is totally weird. Now, the fact that the prophets and messengers actually promoted that stuff is only logical, because it does bring people closer to God

Salam please take note of surah 3-164 and then surah 5-91. “If a large amount of anything causes intoxication a small amount of it is prohibited”. Allah (swt) knows best. May Allah (swt) guide us all on the true path.

the RISER with TRUTH has clarified that such ingesting of plants such as these should only be done in a sacred and responsible setting and hence they have potential for much healing in such circumstances - as you should be fully aware there re plentiful narrations from the family of Mohammed PBUH to clarify these substances have great potential to help humanity in a multitude of ways - Imām Ja’far al-Ṣādiq [the sixth Shi’i Imām] was asked about the ḥarmal… He said: As for the ḥarmal, not a single of one of its roots penetrates the earth or any branch of it rises to the sky without there being attached to it an angelic guardian spirit, until it turns to waste or becomes whatever it becomes. The devil avoids the house that contains the ḥarmal from every seventy houses that he passes, and it is a cure for seventy maladies the least which is leprosy. Do not avoid it! One of the prophets lamented to God, mighty and majestic, regarding the cowardice of his people, to which God, mighty and majestic, revealed to him: Command your people to eat the ḥarmal. And in another tradition, it is related: Command them to water the ḥarmal, for it increases a man’s bravery.

@@penangborn9936 I need the name of the haddit and references. There is no mentioning of 12 Mahdis either. I have studied Islam for 7 years along with other faiths. Islam moral standards are very high. So I have a right to question the source of information.

Providing you the hadith (which can easily be googled) just to say its considered "weak" by ilm al-rijal is flawed. What is true or false based on the consensus of fallible men hundreds of years later. What good is in that? That's why we're here today needing the mahdi

Alhamdullilah you may be right, I am always suspicious of someone who does not show their eyes! Is it because he might have a word on his forehead? I listen to Mufti Menk & Dr Omar Suleiman, you can see the "nur" on their faces.
