I’ve given up on meta for DPS because they will always get powercrept (or at least they’re the easiest to powercreep). I’m just gonna pull for who I like.

I'll get Firefly for character love reasons lol plus mech but yeah with Feixiao coming out soon who is possibly Acheron levels of busted DPS.

@@Shirouya All character CAN finish the MoC and such yes, but then there are those Big numbers types lol such as myself.

Jade can be a dps and subdps while offering a little support like yinlin in wuthering waves. You will be able to fit in her so many teams she will have great longevity.

with all the imagry of snakes eating people in Jade's animations I feel like I should question what path she's on in lore. I know she's Erudition for gameplay, but multiple characters have gameplay paths that don't match their lore (Sampo and Sparkle being Nihility and Harmony respectively when their lore shows they're on the path of Elation. Gallager being path of Abundance in gameplay when his lore is path of Enigmata. Black Swan being a Nihility character in game when Memokeepers are all supposed to be on the path of Rememberance). the imagry of a snake eating stuff makes me think Jade might be on the path of Voracity (the fact that the snake is eating the enemies obviously fits the idea of Voracity, whilst the fact it's a snake matches up fairly well with the name of that path's Aeon being Oroboros

Good question! Hopefully we get more in 2.3. At least for now we also know that the IPC praises the Amber Lord Qlipoth for Preservation. Voracity makes the most sense though and I really like your idea on that one 🙏

I'm fairly sure most if not all IPC crew (at least the ten stonehearts) are on the path of preservation, as all that they do is in the name of the Amber Lord (Qlipoth)

I was more under the impression that they were chosen by Qlipoth and/or Diamond (with Diamond seeming more likely), not that they nessecarily needed to be following Preservation (one story mentioned about Aha clearly shows that even Emanators don't actually need to align with their respective Aeon in any way. it's a matter of being chosen by the Aeon (and the very fact that Emanators of Nihility exists shows that there might be more to it that we're not yet aware of), not a matter of aligning with them) just looking at Aventurine, he's the only one of the 3 we've gotten so far that's actually Preservation in gameplay terms, but in lore terms he seems more dedicated to Gaiathra Triclops than Qlipoth and his otherall attitude and beliefs seem to trend more towards Nihility than Preservation I will however certainly accept the argument that Qlipoth and/or Diamond would never choose anyone on the Path of Voracity to be one of the stonehearts as Oroboros is Qlipoth's main enemy.

I pulled for Boothill and damn I rolled for double BH and double his LC. I'm glad I also rolled for e1s1 Ruan Mei because I had predicted that there's gonna be break meta on her release with self implant weakness type and it came true so I don't need to rerun. I'm gonna roll for FF which enables me to play any contents universally disregarding the weakness requirement for any game mode because I have both of them. My prediction payed off for saving up for them because I had been suspecting that weakness break characters are useless without a specific weakness implant so Hoyoverse should implement weakness implant support or self-implant dps.

i'am a new player and severely lacking in dps i have boothill and robin and welt as my only 5 stars and wanted to pull for firefly as a second dps but from what i've seen she shares the same supports as boothill (who i don't have anyway but it could be a problem later) so my question is does she absolutely need those supports to function or are they just the optimal way to play ? (for reference boothill seems fine without his best supports)

There's a good number of different supports! Firefly will still totally be fine without hers if you wanted to run them with boothill. Another good choice is ruan Mei, who is the rerun. Some four stars like Tingyun are very solid choices as well

@@justaman4887if you really like firefly then characters like hanya or asta could be a good idea as they both are good at speeding up your party. Hanya can help with skill point management. Asta is fire and will help break fire weakness for firefly, she’s also free

I just hit 5 million break dmg with firefly lol totally worth it guys My team was the obvious choices but instead of rm i used asta to constantly break the bar

I really want Jade but since I've gotten Fu Xuan, Boothill, Firefly, *and* I'm trying to clear stuff now to get stellar jades for Ruan Mei, I don't think I'll be able to get her 😅 I've ran out of stellar jades already. But I needed more characters to just clear some things and I got tired of hearing, "just use your Pela," (didn't even have her until Boothill's banner) or "just use your Ruan Mei," (don't have her either)"Just use X," got really old quick.

The more developed your account is. Top tier dps and supports, I would argue Jade is the better pull as she will most likely have more interesting synergies with various dual dps comps in the future

Definitely depends on what you need more mostly.

I Started off with 240 plus golden tickets the day before Firefly dropped (already having gotten E1S1 Ruan Mai). My goal was to get her E0S1. I ended up with E2S1. And now I’ve built enough pity to get another 5 star on my next couple of ten pulls. I initially wanted to try for Ruan Mai’s E2, but then decided, “no I’m going to try for Jade, if I get her, cool, she can now go in my IPC team. If not, then I’m guaranteed to get the new physical girl Yunli in 2.4, so either way, I win.
