Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin on Friday (June 28) introduced a resolution opposing NEET in the state Assembly. Regional parties supported the resolution, including the CPI(M), MMK, MDMK, and TVK. The BJP MLAs walked out from the session after opposing the resolution. The resolution states that NEET has damaged the chances of students from rural areas pursuing medicine and made school education “useless”, and snatched the right to allocate seats for students in medical colleges.
