They can turn the tide of public opinion. Right now, America is wall-to-wall Israeli support. The public need to see high profile figures expressing their support for Gaza.

It is better that 'celebrity culture' as a whole be abandoned than to be sitting here waiting for them to do and say the right things. They're irrelevant - their opinions are irrelevant - they are, by and large, professional narcissists and nothing more. The opinions, the convictions, and the gifts given to the world by nurses, sanitation workers, service industry workers, janitors, and on and on, are infinitely more important than those of 'celebrities'. You cannot 'change the system from within the system' - it all needs to go.
