Ariat Rebar Pull-On Boot Review - Ariat is well known in the work boot world and many people consider them the best work boots because of their price and quality. It's hard to klnow exactly how good work boots are unless you are able to cut them in half and see what's inside of them. Ariat sent me their popular work boot the Rebar wedge to be cut in half to see if it holds up the the reputation ariat has of making some the best work boots.

Really curious to see some mountaineering boots. They are designed to withstand the worst condition so they should be of really good quality. Some Scarpas or La Sportiva should be interesting!

I wore these out in 3months, they started to split in the heel. The outsole went quick. You’re spot on with it being a weekend boot, not a everyday boot.

That's not good. I have a pair of similar (price & design) Rocky work boots that I've been wearing for years, the heel finally started wearing out, but they're still very usable.

Outsole is expected to wear out quick depending on what kind of work you do- Light squishy rubbers tend to wear out fast, especially if you’re walking around a lot, or on rough surfaces. The trade off is that they are more comfortable than a boot with a denser rubber sole. 3 months is honestly about average - but I’ve seen guys go through them in as fast as two weeks, and seen them last as long as two years. Just depends on what you use them for, and honestly - just you as well. Can put two guys in the same boot doing the same job, but how they walk can strongly impact the wear and tear on a boot. If you still want the comfort of a wedge sole, try looking for a hybrid wedge! A few brands I’ve seen (timberland, Georgia, and Wolverine) have come out with boots that use mainly a wedge sole, but have a layer of denser rubber at the bottom, which hopefully lessens how fast the boot can wear out.

I own a pair of rebar 6” lace ups with steel toe. I work for Costco and I love my pair. I agree on all the cons you mentioned, and I’d like to add that they run, at least for me, a little tight on the ankles. I had to stand ankle pain for about a week but it went away the kore I used them.
I’ve honestly been waiting for this review to get some
Another great teardown. Ive been binge watching your channel after finding it featured on Rockroosters moc boot on amazon. Your channel has taught me a lot about boots i had never thought about and is helping me try to make a more informed decision finding a new pair of boots. How have the White's perry boots been wearing in? ive been considering getting them for my refrigerated warehouse job. Keep up the great work.
Thanks. Very interested in these videos on less expensive work boots.
I’m surprised how much leather comes out of Mexico 🇲🇽

Mexico has one of the best shoe makers and specialized in boots !
@EveryTacoInLA

You can still buy handmade shoes in lots of parts of Mexico. A lot of their supply chain is local. For example, in the U.S. it's normal to go and buy a pack of tortilla or bread from the grocery store. In Mexico, you walk down the block and buy tortilla or bread from the local bread maker. Same applies to their wet markets. You point at the chicken youre gonna have to eat for lunch.

There is an entire city in Mexico who’s economy runs on leather goods, the local soccer team plays in the national league they’re called the “green bellies” name comes from local leather tanners that would get their apron stained during the chemical process.

Great quality videos, super informative! Would love to see you review the Black Bear Brand - Wesco boots especially at their price point. Keep up the good work!
Thanks! I've been eyeing these and now I have some answers.
These are great. I have learned a lot about boots. Please do a hunting/hiking boot series.
Love your vids man, would love to see you cut apart Clark’s desert boots 2s and see what makes the different from the original desert boot. Keep it up though!
Interesting but I'll stick with my Thorogoods for working on rebar. Only though on the patch might be for extra flexability as the inside and outside of your foot are never on a level surface.
Perfect boots for me since im a truck driver and feed my farm animal in the afternoons. Btw great video.
Thank You for another Great Review. They Look Very Nice.
I’d love to see more cowboy boots from Ariat. Or any cowboy boots.

Just want to say .love this show .great fo for to show us are money's worth. Good stuff.thanks bro
Once you've done more boots in the cheaper prices ranges you should do a best bang for your buck at every price point video.
Try doing some of the Keen work boots, very comfortable and come in a safety toe style as well, some are even made of leather too.
You are saving me money. So many shoes I was gonna buy now I've changed my mind
I love these boots, mine is water proof so it has a full liner and comp toe!! And they come in half sizes and wide sizes too, love these boots, on my second pair
i have black salamander work boots been wearing them for 2 years. impenetrable and pretty comfy
Love your content. Have you ever thought of doing a pair of Corcoran Jump Boots? They aren’t too expensive, but I’m curious about how well they’re built. Cheers!
Have had mine for over 6 months. They're holding up so far, & are as comfortable as a house slipper now.
I have a desperate need to see a pair of Gripfast boots cut in half
When are you going to do the Gucci Ace Sneakers ? Also can you do a video on Apple’s leather, the one that they use in their cases & wallets

Great vid, I would love to see a bass weejun review!
Fantastic videos, it would be great to see you review Salewa Boots, some of the best most comfortable, long lasting boot I have ever used.

@@tyler4081 I’ve been wearing them for the last decade plus, definitely worth the money. I didn’t even shop around when they’d wear out, I would walk into the store find my size and check out, 3 minutes tops 🤣. I just got a pair of the Danner Bull Run, and Redwing 875 this month to try out a different style of boot, but I still wear my Ariats on the regular. They’re great
it would be cool to see a video on the Reebok Club C 85 vintage. The one that retails for 80 has full-grain leather upper i believe, and the one that retails for 75 has just some leather.
I was wondering if you would consider reviewing Canada West Boots. They are made in Canada and are quite popular here for their western boots and work boots. Thanks for making these awesome videos.
I would like to see you dissect a Double H work boot. I am interested in the leather and construction of the sole.
Any chance that you could review Carolina boots? I haven’t heard much about these boots and I recently switched from Timberland pro waterproof composite toe work boots to Carolina 28 series waterproof comp toe. Every review I see on Carolina has been a good one so Im hoping I made a good choice, but not too many people review them on KZread and I haven’t seen anyone cut them in half. Keep up the good work Im a big fan of the channel.
I buys these boots at flea market in Texas. They bring the defective boots from these companies sometimes at a 60% discount price
May have to get these
Another great video. Would like to see the Sperry Halyards cut in half.
I’d love to see you cut open some Kenetrek Mountain extreme boots! I’ve got a pair for hunting and they’re great!
Could you cut Solovairs sneakers in half? I’m extremely curious and was considering getting some, love your videos
Can you do the Irish setters from red wing? A lot of use prefer the slip on to the lace up for a work boot.
I'm a simple man: I see toaster, I like
You should make a review vid on the Redback Boots, mechanics all over the place swear by them would be nice to see your thoughts
So far I love your channel. I am looking for a good pair of work slash hiking boots. I am a forester in the southeast. I have tried several different boot brands but non last more than a year. What would you recommend? Side not my boss wears meindl's. And I am thinking about checking them out but they are a little pricey for me. Thank you for the input.
J0266 Jallette rigger boot ..had a few pairs ..real comfy , ankles would drop after a while and then you would wear through the toe , they've almost doubled in price since I was wearing them .
Hey, Nike Air Force 1 Craft has really good leather and different look it also feels great. That would be an interesting shoe to cut in half
Can you do one of the “plain welt” Dr. Martens like the “1461 plain welt” or “Flora Chelsea Boots”. It’d be interesting to the the stitching/construction
I saw a video recently of you taking apart a sneaker made by Thursday, a primarily boot company. I’d love to see the opposite: a boot being cut in half by a primarily sneaker company. Nike has a few under the SFB line.
Do a video on an UA air Jordan 1 sneaker shoe and compare it to the retail Jordan you did to see if there’s a difference!!!!
I love your videos made me buy a pair of crown northampton veg tan white sneaker can't wait to get them. And after watching your video on Vegan Doc Martens I would love if you could find and cut in half a mushroom lather shoes or boots its not something common but it's in development and it could be interesting.
I’m curious to see a video on the thorogood Wellington
Finally a boot video again
I’d love to see how the Wolverine BLVD series stands up to it’s more expensive counterparts at Thursday, Ariat Two24, etc.
Hey you should test apple’s leather accessories, especially the made in France leather link
0:14 Thanks for not using that annoying beep, it actually makes you sounds more genuine and honest if you swear once in awhile. I'd like to wear rubber soled pull on boots but they make my feet sweat like crazy, so I stick with leather soles. I like the looks but the Inside looks kinda flimsy IMO.
If this gets to you I’d love to see you take apart a pair of Georgia loggers USA made steel toe boots. Thanks keep up the videos! Love the channel!
What do you recommend for a quality slip on work boot? These looked nice for some light home use but I would be digging and occasionally going through some heavy mud so I want something much tougher. Maybe $300 price range but for quality I could spend more.
Great video
Can you do the ramblers? Thanks for doing these
I recently discovered this channel, good videos and helps me alot in making decisions on buying expensive shoes, @Rose Anvil please also cut in half the Canada West Boots and let us know your opinion, thank you
I've worn Ariat for years. I wish you would do more pull on work boot videos. I prefer pull on square toe. I've had two pairs of Justin, one currently wearing. And they fucking suck, they hurt. I've had them 2 months, I'm about to go buy new boots tomorrow. I much prefer Ariat. I've wanted to try twisted x but haven't as they don't have many waterproof options. Never had Tony llama. And i had one pair of wolverine and they were destroyed in about 4 months, absolute shit quality. I'm looking at different brands, shopping around, and honestly considering moving to laced boots. Because comfort is important.
My company only allow £45 for boots so not much selection. But I did get some v12s just over budget almost 2 years ago and they have been great. Probably averaged 7000 steps a day in them everyday. They are due for replacement now tho
You should do a review on either red wing Irish setter logger boots or red wing logger max 4417
Please review the moc toe Carolina's next time you do Moctober. I typically wear Red Wing or Thorogood but I'm very curious.
Can you review Birkenstock Stalon Chelsea boots. I have a pair that I love and can wear all day with no pain. I’d love for you to review and introduce it to others.
Would love to see a pair of Red Wing 608 Super Sole 2.0.
Can you do a pair of kickers kick hi boots I had a pair of those for school they lasted me 2 years I’m curious as to how well they are made
Wedge soles are great, best all around 😊sole, especially on wet and frozen surface.
PLEASE review Timberland Field boot high tops!
What kind of leather conditioner do you recommend. I just got a pair of cowboy boots and they are not the waterproof kind. I know there is a different way to take care of waterproof and nonwaterproof boots so what would you recommend I use. If you or anyone could respond that would be greatly appreciated.
You need more videos mate! Sucks that you don't upload more
Thank you what about wolverine floorhand wellington?
Love your cat. Hope he or she makes it into every video.
Hello viewers hope you are fine I'm gonna buy chuck 70 but confused in colors white or parchment which is better Please reply !!
I'd love to see what's inside a laoke's white trainer, as they're ~£150 and the company typically designs decent quality goodyear welted smart shoes (they're established in Northampton in 19th century and all that)
Check out Silverado boots out of PA, I just tried them out at a local boot store. Sadly they didn’t work for me but they are built in the USA and seemed like a decent brand. I would love to see your take on them.
Yo! Can you do a firefighting series? Maybe some station boots and some turnout boots? I started with some cheap Academy Tactical boots as a cheap pair of station boots but just got some Redbacks per your vid. Love them so far. Some of the guys have Haix and swear by them and then also some Thorogood Lion. Anyway, just a thought! Thanks!
Can you review something from shoes for crews? I'm an auto tech and I wear them quite often because I don't really like boots and the slip resistant tread is amazing. I'm curious to see why they're more comfortable while walking than when standing. I tend to stand a lot and at the end of the day my feet are killing me. The thing that keeps me coming back is the slip resistant sole, it simply will not slip no matter what the conditions.
You should check out 7 Leguas, a mexican brand. I just got a pair of their Haiker boots and they seem pretty nice although I haven't broken them in yet. They seem pretty nice, they could probably send you a pair if you ask them.
Can you Review the Chippewa service boot? It looks like its leather welted and you can frequently find them at Sierra trading posts for around $100-$120.
Do you have a recommendation for a dealer boot style proper workboot. Is it still the redbacks you reviewed a while ago?
Can you do the Ariat Work Hog. I have seen anyone do a thorough review.
I don't know if they kick it, but I'm sure this boots look like it
Curious about your opinion on Georgia Boots.
I have these Ariat Rebar boots, but they aren’t cowboy boot style. Just regular lace up boots that I’ve been wearing for 3 Pennsylvania winters now and I have absolutely no complaints. I still haven’t made the switch from Carolina to Ariat for work boots just because I know the beating Carolina’s can take. 🤷🏻♂️
Nice boots. I like the toe box & how to roomy it is.
It would be cool to do some tactical and hiking buts like LOWA, La Sportiva etc...
I know they are expensive but is it possible to do Santoni or Berluti?
I'd like to see some Durango's, I've had a pair of harness boots for a few years and there holding up great for $150.
Is that the Clocks and Colours ring you're wearing there?
Any plans on cutting some Truman Boots in half? Thanks for all the work you do!
Can you review th jim green Vellies? They are like clarks and are 89$ in the suede version
