The pure lock was struggling to go around screens too. Insane to think going 99 perimeter defense and it’s hard get around a screen. Obviously he might haven’t grind it to hall of fame but it should be just the cherry on top

it’s because your Perimeter D isn’t tied to your lateral quickness. For some reason it’s your speed rating that determines it.

I've noticed my builds with higher strength but little pick dodger navigate screens wayyy better ..this guy had 90 strength to so idk but I feel like it's a little better with higher strength

I have a 99-standing dunk build, a 99-steal build, a 99-o board build, a 99 strength build, and a 99-block build. 99 Steal and 99 Block are not worth it. With 99 blocks, I get a lot more hard foul animations. A 99-standing dunk is op, but it's not worth it. 99 o boards are worth it! 99 strength is worth it, but still found I get dogged by 7-foot centers. All of it comes down to timing in the end. In order to get 99, I had to sacrifice pass accuracy and throw horrendous outlet passes. 99 attributes are not really worth it this year, but I enjoy making builds just trying to save yall vc

Got myself a shaq 99 standing dunk build, it’s quite fun!

As someone who has a 99 steal and 99 perimeter its a waste of all those points going that high. Even with HoF steal badges i get passes thrown straight through my hands and reaches on

95 is worth it for passing lanes. I saw a noticeable drop off when I tried 91. Balls were going through my hands at a much higher rate.

You can have all the attributes in the world. Perimeter Defense is mostly based on the skill of the person holding the controller.

I got mine at 85 and at the start I was getting steals too easily. Now even when I blitz the ball and use the stick I still barely get it. Centers are dribbling in front of me💀

Your playstyle negates the steal heavy locks. East/west players not attacking the basket is what those locks eat off.

99 is a waste until they buff interceptor but the pluck steals seem to work no matter what level of glove you have if you are in the right position

This was a crazy close game that was fun to watch. I’m still rocking the Diming Paint Beast… everyday I get closer to wanting to make this build but the lower rebounding makes me reluctant. I literally wouldn’t change a single thing on Laker’s 7ft build so I trust the rebounding is still fire on the 6’10.. but I see a few examples in this game that would have been secured on the 7ft build.

Laker have u figured out the crossover moves that are tied to combo moves sig broooo im using harden combos rn on my slasher and when im driving instead of using reg crossover im holding rt and going either right left or left right on right stick first flick away from ball hand then second flick to ball hand and its the most glitchy op crossovers ever never new this until a few days ago when i was labing dribbles u do have to be holding rt running forward its not the standstill combo moves where u flick left right

Not to give away my build but are pure locks are now rocking 93 perD 91 or 95 steal 87 block 87 mid 79 3 89 dunk 90 str

I got builds wit 96 91 85 and 60 stl im really a passing lane guy its all determined by you , timing , and animations play a big part but its still u the bump steal is the most efficient way to steal tho 85 gets the job done efficiently i get the job done good enough wit 60 cause passing lanes are my strong suit but i rarely get on ball steals with the 60 stl but the difference is obvious its all on you playstyle and skill

Steal rating is a skill gap. And maybe a little R.N.G. . If you have the high of a steel rating, you should be pressing ball at all times. While people shadow you. Plus you're not gonna get steals just by spamming x. Get another right time to press x or use the right stick. And with right stick ripper being what it is a badge, use the right stick. If you don't have the timing down, you're not gonna get steals, they're gonna be fouls. I personally will never go past an 85 again.

Too much of an investment. Same goes for perimeter defense. That's too expensive. I could make my build better with an 85 perimeter 85 seal. Spend the rest of the attributes elsewhere.

Steal is definitely not a skill gap. All these people do is spam steal and pray. All I see is nonstop spamming and nonstop blitzing in attempts to get bump steals. Now if you know how to time steals you will be more successful but spamming gets bad players plenty of steals

Right Stick ripper is the only way to use steals stack both Hof you can pluck anyone plying on their side you’re a bum if you use square

I have an offensive guard with 99 steal. Its all about timing and waiting to strike at the right time. If you mindlessly spam nonstop then it looks bad but if you know how to position yourself and know when to reach then its hella broken.

5-6 steals a game is cap. Lol But it’s a huge difference with no steal and 91. The animations alone are why. I tried a build with no gloves interceptor and it was torture. Not only are you not catching passing lane steals. The animation takes you out of the play badly. I don’t see how folks do it unless you play zone and sit in corner all game long.

I’ve had games where I had 10+ steals.. obviously in pro am 5 vs 5 it’s different.. il get 2-3 sometimes less because the level of comp is different.. people know how to dribble, it’s none stop screens and crabs, L2 cancels.. and the team usually won’t throw obvious lane steals.

Every single year by far. I do not waste points on badges that require certain timing or animations. I have 5 builds with no steal nor perimeter defense n I’ll locc you up n take the ball whenever I feel like attempting a steal.
