Ardhanareeshwara stotra by Gaura Nataraj and Komala Kumari
Музыка
Choreographed by Rama Vaidyanathan
This is a song in praise of the deity whose right side of the body is Shiva, and left side is Parvati. This deity represents the eternal balance between male and female principles that are seen everywhere in the Universe.
Just like word and it’s meaning are not separate from each other, in the same way parents of the Universe Shiva and Parvati are inseparable
His dance is powerful and aggressive, her dance is soft and graceful
Her body shines like a molten gold,
His body shines like the burning camphor,
She has a well made up hair,
He has matted locks.
Her body is smeared with musk and saffron,
His body is smeared with ashes from cremation grounds,
Her smile radiates love,
He destroyed the God of love.
She has tinkling pretty anklets and bangles,
He has snakes as anklets and bangles
She wears garland of divine flowers,
He wears a garland of skulls,
She dresses in great silks,
His only garment is the sky.
Her dance marks the creation of the world, she is the mother to all moving and non-moving objects- birds, deers, elephants, flowers and creepers.
His dance destroys everything… only so she can create again.
She is the mother of the universe,
And He is the father of the universe.
This was the first time we danced together with Komala Kumari from NY. We met each other only few days before the performance, so considering time restrictions I think we did a decent job :) Hope that one day we can repeat this

You both seem like lord Shiva and mother parvati to me tears rolled thank you so much
The male dancer is a triumph, a Nijinsky, sophisticated and elegant. I have seen him in earlier U Tube videos, and has now matured, deserving fuller recognition for art.
Their performance is ever so energetic, lyrical, graceful and dramatic. Hard to believe they are not born in this land.

It used to be more expressive than this in india by devadasas and devadasis who dedicated their lives to learning the art.. and taught it to common folk.If mere stone sculptures today express so much dynamism we can imagine the live performances. All this got relegated to the background with invasions which labelled them immodest and immoral(please check kali n Nataraja story at Chidambram temple.)..and it was practised in secret to avoid persecution. The sense of body and gender should be overcome for Nataraja himself to manifest.
Jagat jananyai cha jagateka pitre……. The Ultimate truth of this universe
Очень люблю танцы с браслетами колокольчиками на ногах.Так красиво танцевали .Спасибо вам.Доставили удовольствие.
The last minute.... The oscillation between the male and female forces.... Brilliantly conceived. The introduction is great as well!
I conguradulte the "choreographer" Rama vaidhanathen . Oh mine His voice make me to fly in the Air.
So nice, so divine. Reminds God Shiva and Mother Parvati. Both male and female performed very gracefully. Holy souls, may god bless u.
What a stunning performance. Could watch it over and over again. Never a dull moment. Perfect sync of music and dance. Beautiful!
Hinduism may be a polytheistic religion but the ultimate truth is everything is an embodiment of The Adi Shakti and Adi Purush... Who are integrated in every gods, every human and every demons. I really appreciate how beautifully they have portrayed the concept of Ardhanareshwar❣️ love from India 🇮🇳
Decent job? You are too modest.. I see nothing but perfection in your dance. Very well synchronized.. we could witness both the masculine n feminine quality of this beautiful art. 8.52 to 8.58 the pose was just breathtaking. To balance oneself in that pose especially after a series of dance moves can only be done through much focus n practice. . The ending was simply WOW.. Hats off to both of you and miss rama for the beautiful choreography 👏👏👏

Excellent performance, I felt the presence of lord Shiva and Parvati with happiness tears in my eyes.
This is a masterpiece. I have seen it so many tines but just can’t get enough of it. As an amateur Bharatanatyam dancer, it makes me happy to watch such perfection. Gaura Natraj Das’s posture and Komala Kumari’s expressions are as perfect as it could be. This is a visual treat and very inspirational. Thank you
Again and again i am watching...OMG she transformed completely as Parvathi and created this world beautifully. You became Rudhran and did superb ...What else i can say? YOU ARE A TREASURE FOR BHARATHA NATYAM, LIVE LONG GOD BLESS YOU 😄😄
Don't know exactly how many times i watched this. In fact, i'm watching this almost everyday now, from the day i first watched. Beautiful movements, awesome formations, pureness in bhavas...superbly outstanding performance. ❣️❤️💗.. Moreover love & wishes to both dancers

Incredible, Astonishing and mesmerizing..... I am so glad and proud to watch this divine performance. I had goosebumps twice. Many things were so perfectly composed and presented that show how hard you are trained. your guru must be proud of you. 1. The depiction of different symbols used to characterize the two supreme powers. 2. The creation of nature and animals by Mother Parvati was so pleasing. 3. In the end, the Harmonic movement of you two and ending with the symbol of shiv linga was never seen before. 4. The footwork was very synchronized. 5. of course the choice of song is very suitable. there are many things that I liked ...... I request you if you can compose a dance on "Shiv Vivah" written in Ramcharitmans.
Thank you, it reminded me that the whole creation is a mere play of dance of Shiva and Shakthi 😭
Wow! What a wonderful performance! Far more than a "decent job." Seeing female & male dance together here was, for me, like watching the principles of our universe playfully exchanging their life forces back & forth: she's fluid & gracile, he's strong & demanding. Then it switches around & we see the characteristics of one danced thru the other. Amazing! I very much hope to see more performances like this. Thank you. Namaste
It brought tears in to my eyes watching great performance. I felt like I am actually blesed with darshanam of lord Shiva and mata Parvati. Namaskar.

Excellent. I have no words to the perfection of your performance. You are simply great.
The winds means the ancestors are there to watch and bless their performance. There's always a way to salvation if you seek it. My love is truly my salvation. May we love eternally in perfect peace.
💞💞💞💞 when they stood last in that mudra just goosebumps came , our eyes fill with ಆನಂದಭಾಷ್ಪ...seeing ಶಿವಲಿಂಗ 🙏🙏💖💖
अति सुंदर प्रस्तुति
No words to express appreciation
Excellent performance by non Indian artists. Very graceful posture of the dance that depicts Indian art and culture. Amazing coordination between both the dancers. Thanks Rama Vaidyanathan ji for wonderful choreography.
Wow awesome. Gaura u rock!!!
God bless you both! thousands of likes. Love you both. Thanks. Jai Bharat Mata ki!
Speechless 😍😍😍😍 Watched Gaura Natraj performing the same composition with another partner elsewhere ; great performance that too. But this one is simply wowwwwww!!! Komala and Gaura together have brought out the beauty of the feminine and the masculine so well; Rama mam must have been so proud 🥰🥰🥰 And Gaura so so handsome in his moustache n beard look🌹 Really luuurvved the tandavam bit🔥. The 'Siva' abhinaya, I watch Gaura in this and Dakshina in her dehradun performance with her mother; and both are equally fascinating 💞 As for komala; she is such a dear her prapanjasrishti is so motherly, left me in tears❤️... The violinist has produced something so heavenly there too. And Satish Venkatesh!!! Wot a dream vocalist 🌷 And of course all the other musicians, the mridangam the flute the nattuvangom everything.... And above all, dear dear dear Rama mam; lots a love to you for this treasure and for her every other work 💟 My ultimate idol in bharathanatyam 🙏
Sobana good dancer NO two people amazing dance perfomance body style glassing perfomance really shiva and parvathy infront of me 🙏🙏🙏🙏👌
Ahhhh komala kumari, my other favourite dancer! Two of my favourite bhakti yogi dancers onstage, only missing vrinda sheth! Loved watching this!
I really liked it. Gauri is very believable and internalised. Shiva is also very good and grows on the viewer, and the Tandav section was very well done. Congratulations! The singing was beyond good....wow! Please mention the name of the singer. Thanks.

Gaura Nataraj makes me happy and provides the secrets of peaceful life.
I know I'm so late to comment but I wanna share my feeling on this.. You both are really made to expel this to not only India and to the universe.. You both together as ardhanareeswara swaroopa was like we are really watching shiva shakti together on a simple stage.. Miraculous performance.. I'm a devotee of my Lord Krishna... After watching this a/v I really got an attachment or a kind of fascination towards Lord Shiva.. 🙏🙏🙏 all that I want to say is wowww...
Amazing choreography and wonderful performance by the two great performers. They could perfectly understand the meaning and the imagination of the choreographer and depict it wonderfully

Where is the need for this kind of language and attitude? They are performing a beautiful piece in a sincere and beautiful way. As someone predominantly born and raised in India and as a Bharatanatyam dancer myself, I cannot do it this well. Can you? Or have you even learnt any Indian dance form so perfectly? How much of Indian culture or Bhagwad Gita or any other Indian scripture have you read it even know? Do you have it in you to do even 10% of what they did? They don’t have to be doing this but they choose to do it (that too so perfectly) because they are believers. There is absolutely no need for any hate here. And just do you know, dance is meant to be seen and learnt from others, it’s an art form that expresses love to God and depicts his stories. The steps and dances have been passed on from generation to generation for years and years and nobody “invents” an ancient dance form like this out of the blue. Show some respect and stop bringing a bad name to all your Indians with your narrow mindedness and nonsense. Jai Sri Krishna

@@kshirjagambhir4188 There is a jewish parable about a woman who repeated a story (gossip) about a neighbor. Within a few days everyone in the community knew the story. The person she talked about heard what had been said about her and she was very sad. Later, the woman who had spread the story learned that it was not true. She was very sorry and went to a wise rabbi and asked what she could do to repair the damage. After giving this some thought, the rabbi said to her, “Go home, get one of your feather pillows, and bring it back to me.” Surprised by the rabbi’s response, the woman followed his advice and went home to get a feather pillow and brought it to the rabbi. “Now,” said the rabbi, “open the pillow and pull out all the feathers.” Confused, the woman did what she was told to do. After a few minutes, the rabbi said, “Now, I want you to find every one of the feathers and put them back into the pillow.” “That’s impossible,” said the woman, almost in tears. “The window is open and the wind has scattered them all over the room and blown many feathers outside. I can’t possibly find them all.” “Yes,” said the rabbi. “And that is what happens when you gossip or tell a story about someone else. Once you talk about someone, the words fly from one person’s mouth to another, just like these feathers flew in the wind. Once you say them, you can never take them back. Think before you say something. Peace and Love
People must learn the love towards arts from these wonderful dancers.Hats off to their gurus

Tres belle performance de vous deux quant à la chorégraphie : au top. Belle illustration des deux aspects de l'énergie. Au plaisir de vous suivre...
Admirable. It was a delightful performance.Thank you for showing us how beautiful Indian classical dance is, especially when it meets such dedicated and devoted disciples.
What a performance! What a great foot-work! May you live long!
So grace full .both are presenting lord Shiva and goddess parvati's dance
I must admit the male dancer has the perfect athletic body for the tandava dance. Most male Bharatanatyam dancers are not athletic or "masculine" enough to depict the male energy and yet still appear aesthetically pleasing.
Excellent performance!👌
Wonderful, thank you for the Divine dance!
