why are their acoustics versions better than the originals. i love these so much

The bridge part was part of the song before going into the studio to record it. The song was originally wrote with that included but it was changed in studio to have psychedelic noises and guitar solos.

Honestly, no idea. They are his own lyrics though. The only version of the song, acoustic or full band, where he used those lyrics (as far as I know). You should check out the full band version of Crying Lightning at Dublin in '09 where incorporates Tom Jones into the last chorus, amazing stuff.
