ARCHSPIRE, going through member changes for the past two years, finalized a line-up in mid 2009. With members from various metal acts from all over southern BC, the will to perform brutal, technical death metal only intensified with the addition of each person involved.
Focussing on a fast, energetic, and musically technical live show, ARCHSPIRE boasts extended range guitars, and fretless bass. Complete with supersonic shotgun vocals, and velocious gravity blasting, ARCHSPIRE sees to show B.C. their own unique brand of technical death metal.
ARCHSPIRE recorded their EP "All Shall Align" in May, 2010 at The Hive studios. Working with seasoned producer Stuart McKillop, the result is a fast, complex, and intricate example of what ARCHSPIRE has to offer. Disjointed melodies and speeds that rival the band's influences, this taste of what ARCHSPIRE is able to accomplish has already started a buzz in the Vancouver metal community.
ARCHSPIRE'S inertia will only grow exponentially until they have overwhelmed metal fans the world over, the imminent subjucation will soon prove that inactivity is not in ARCHSPIRE'S vocabulary.
For fans of: Brain Drill, Origin, Spawn of Possession, Obscura, and Immolation.

I love the style of drumming this band offers. I want to learn how to drum fast like them so right now I'm going to practice the song Archspire on drums. I can't wait for this band to make more albums.

Question for Dean - if the music is written in B standard, then why you use a 8 string guitar? Isn't a 7 string enough?

Exile an answer 4 years later: Actually, Dean does use the 8th string. Not extensively on this album, but he does use it a bit more on The Lucid Collective.
