I got to hand it to the fans who kept Archie Sonic going through online when IDW came about up. I really missed the freedom fighters all this time. Also glad for comic dubs with good acting and music to make these reads more interesting.

IDW definitely isn't a worse sonic comic than Archie and in some situations I think its even better than Archie, but it hurts that we will likely never see these characters in official media again. The Freedom Fighters are my favorite set of characters that have just been thrown to the wayside and it hurts.

12:54 that flashback montage is phenomenal!

14:08 I’m crying! This is such an emotional scene! I love every second of it and it shows just how much Sonic cares for Sally. Robot or not.

I never had such a rush of emotions reading a Sonic comic. It felt like the fate of my childhood was held in the balance. Great job, absolutely an amazing story and dub.

Sorry for not commenting until now, but as the writer for this issue, it’s truly an honor to see it brought to life with such talent and passion! I can’t thank you and your team of talented actors enough!

That feeling of intensity when the timer reached down to 1 as sonic turned on the machine is something i've yet to see replicated in the games.

This is the most satisfying conclusion to the metal Sally arc.

I love how the Archie sonic comics has the characters show a lot of emotion because in the game yeah they'll show emotion like happy, sad, angry even scared, but the comics has sonic freaking snap and become enraged or in this were sonic feels like true regret for his actions I just love how they really expand on the characters that the games haven't

GOD this was great! The Sonic and Sally reunion we deserve!!!! Great dub, you guys! 💖 IDW is great, but i do miss the expansive lore, world, characters and emotions from the Archie comics 💔

Can we talk about the fact that Sonic DESTROYED MECHA SALLY, SURVIVED THE EXPLOSION WITH HER HEAD INTACT, AND RAN ALL THE WAY TO THE ROBOTICIZER WHILE THROWING HER HEAD IN THERE, AND SAVED SALLY IN UNDER 10 SECONDS?!

IDW Sonic stories just don’t and likely won’t ever have the same emotional depth of storytelling that Archie Sonic had. I really miss those comics, their characters, and their original stories. If only Sega & Archie Comics could’ve worked something out to continue this branch of incredible storylines. 😭😭😭

So do I, I mean I like the idw issues for the most part but idk I’m not as excited for new issues as I was with these because how close I was to the Characters but if it had to end I’m at least it ended where it did with 287 (288-290 being flashbacks) with the planet restored and the freedom fighters together looking at the sunrise

IDW has actually proven that it can delve into deep and pretty dark territories too. Like the dilemma of punishing Eggman despite not remembering what he had done, and helping people as Mister Tinker. Or the Metal Virus Arc, that pulled at heartstrings and stooped to levels you wouldn't have thought possible for a Modern Sonic story.

@@BlueTheicequeen I'm even more convinced by your reply that Sally is one of the best characters from Sonic franchise Anyway, it must have been hard for her friends, knowing that this robot is still their princess Sally but having to stop her, even if it meant to harm her... As well as it was hard for Sally herself, being fully conscious of her actions, but having no control over it.

That was AMAZING!

I miss this type of storytelling for sonic

I didn’t read a lot or all the comics but I remember when sonic was roboticsized and attacked and when sally got robotisized for the ending. And you guys did really really awesome jobs at the voices!

This is a wonderful dub. As someone who grew up with Archie Sonic, I was so happy when I found out a group of people were dedicated to preserving its legacy. If I have one minor critique, it’s that the voice acting for Sonic could stand to be a little more dynamic during the fight scene, and Robotnik didn’t sound quite as unhinged as he normally is, but I think Mecha Sally was on point, and Elias showed the perfect amount of emotion. That voice acting by Sonic and Sally at the end though, was absolute perfection. 🥲 Overall, thumbs up!👍👍

7:00 she has a point especially the fight with Silver Sonic

Love the music choice for this. Unleashed has some of the best music, a nice blend of relaxing and epicness.

Counting all the different spin offs there’s a bit over 500 issues of continuity I love these and I’m glad to say i finally have every issue

Y'know, I understand that they can't just kill off a main character like that. But thinking about it logically, had metal stayed to help Mecha Sally she would've been dead. It's not like Eggman can't just rebuild metal, so yeah.

My favorite scene is 7:02 to 7:15 and 12:20 to 13:40. Mecha Sally was badass. Kudos to her voice actress.

I'm sad that Archie comics didn't explore Mobius Africa much, the kingdom of dragons and other human colonies in the pre-reboot era and little during the reboot because it was cancelled, there was a lot to do in the rich universe, it would be really cool to see that
