God Bless *Archie* 🙏🏽

Just had to drop by and say RIP. As a young boy in the 1960s in Texas, we had two awesome dachshunds (named Sugar and Pretzel; Pretzel was from Sugar's first and only litter). Super pets, super affectionate, and they would come to my defense, no questions asked. I'm retired, and I spend my volunteer time in the veterinarian clinic at the local animal shelter (Second Chance Humane Society, Ridgway, CO). I can't overemphasize how important it is to have your pet spayed or neutered, and keep the vaccines up to date. Best to you, Joe.

Oh no I am so sorry for your loss, RIP Archie. I never realized how loving dachshunds could be until we rescued our little Heinrich. Yes, he is very vocal and demanding, kind of like all the German people I know! 😂. We love him so much. He is 18 years old now, and any day could be his last, so we try to spend as much time as possible with him. God bless you and yours Joe.

You can tell that this little guy is just FULL OF PERSONALITY just by the expression on his face and the look in his eyes! I'm truly sorry for your loss, my friend... God bless and take care...

He was the best dog and perfect in all the ways a doxie is. Know you were the best person that ever entered his life and you both were better for it. Hearts are broken now but time will heal and he will never be forgotten. The best pup i have ever known

Sorry for your loss, Joe. Nothing beats the companionship of a dog, and though mine is a Labrador, she goes everywhere with me as well. I've got a tattoo with the line that says it all, "It's a different world I see, when it's just my dog and me" from the John Hiatt song. RIP, Archie.

I am so sorry Joe from what you said it sounds like he’s a good dog and that’s a damn shame that the last owner abused him cut off his vocal cords who in the hell would do that to a dog. @@gtrjoe1901 my mom and dad had a three-year-old dachshund that died several years ago. She was only three one of them bugs or whatever it’s kind like how we would get a stomach bug but with dogs it kills them and her name was Sophie and she was a miniature dachshund, very friendly and very affectionate it’s like she never met a stranger lol. Cause when I first met her, she was like six months old dachshunds are very beautiful dogs too bad yours was shy, but like I said, who in the hell would wanna remove its vocal cords. So that’s why I understand your loss, loving my best for you as well Billy
