Arched windows are making a big move and coming into the forfront of design again. What used to be a symbol of historic architecture has now become a icon of luxury living.
Archicad, just like every other architecture design program is not well equipped to handle curves and arches, but with a little clever thinking we solve a challenging probelm.
Arched windows in archicad are very easy to create when you want the top of the window to be arched, but when you need the bottom of the window to be arched, it become a lto more challenging. One of the easiest ways to complete this tutorial is by simply using the convert to morph tool. It does limit you down the track and cause a few problems with window schedules, but it is a simple way to invert a windows profile.

Awesome tutorial. Tip (maybe you already know this, might be useful to other users) - after creating a slab, after you select the Wall tool, keep space pressed (magic wand) and click the slab. it will do a perimeter wall on that specific slab-shape

Not the best method I'll admit

What does it take to get the Australian windows added to the US library? None of those usefull sliding arched windows, and many others, are available in the US library. It makes no sense.

You can download 4dlibrary. It's a paid plugin but has australian windows. Otherwise from a default point of view you could download archicad from the website via a proxy and get the aus version?

@@DavidTomic the GS website requires a login to download. The USA and INT versions were the only options. The INT library has the window you used. Thank you.
