VIDEO DETAILS:
Today I showcase exactly how you can create the perfect axonometric in a matter of minutes. Once you set up these settings and save them to your template you’ll be making axo like a pro!
The first step is to simple use archicad to create the room you need an axonometric image for, in today’s example we will be creating a simple bathroom. Using only what is available to us in archicad we can create a beautiful axo in minutes.
Once the model is completed we move onto the axo settings. By simply changing the material properties and introducing one new fill we can redefine our model space. Be sure to pause this video and screenshot all the settings so you can replicate this at home in no time.

Amazing Tutorial. thank u!
Hit it out the park yet again David! loved this one. can i suggest a future video? Im good at doing presentation boards using sketchup, but I'd be so happy to know the workflow using archicad for such purposes. Exporting drawings especially and the different linework that we use to create our boards...enough rambling lol. A simple video on archicad presenation boards! that would be a first on youtube. Cheers and continued success

I'll see what I can do for you!
My industry requires quick digital tile veneers. Eg: photograph tile in the shop or keep it in library or dwg supplied by manufacturer & inlay it on the drawings
Easy and effective, thank you!

Excellent video. I'm struggling to use the mep modeler and connect the pipes from all bathroom sanitaryware. If you can make a video on this it would be amazing thanks.

Could you show the methods of presenting projections in an interesting way, e.g. in Archdaily ? :)
Thank You! Is it possible to make transperency glass (to see bathroom tiles behind with more light lines) in the final axo drawing? Because now it is one solid color..

Simply change the material to something like air and that should work :)
Hi David Great video, thank you! I am struggling with casting shadows to the neighbour's house elevation for council submission. Do you have any video on this using ArchiCAD 26?

Not specifically No, however there are overshadowing templates pre-built into ArchiCAD if you want jump on our discord group and I’m sure we’ll be able to help you out. The link is in the description
wow, its very easy
Thank you. I am still wondering however why Archicad wont allow us to draw some sort of 3D Splines (Lines, text, trees) in 3D View so that our Axonometries with all the descriptions stays always up to date with the plans. I dont want to create the Axo Artisticaly and then just do it again over and over bcs of the changes I needed to make on plan :(

How to make perfect surface modul like tile in archicad 2D and 3D? in Autocad we can make hatch in precise module
NIce, I use the MONOMETRIC AXONMETIC view, that's my favourite and gives really awesome views.

@@DavidTomic Thanks mate, hey btw do you know how is ArchiCAD running on the new M1 MacBook air? I am thinking of buying one but not sure is it going well with M1 series or not.

@@palashtrivedi5622 probably not your best option. archi hacks did a recent video on this stating that the m1 chip wasnt compatile with most of the programs we use. their suggestion is if buying a macbook, go for an older model

Havent tested it in full. Only got access to a mac mini with the m1 chip, runs okay for minor bits and pieces. Haven't spent much more time on it otherwise as it was purchased as the boardroom computer. Best to listen to ^^^

How do you present your 3D perspectives to you client .

In person. Clients often have no idea how to read or understand plans, always best to guide them through the entire process

Hi David! I’m an Archicad user at an architect firm in the Netherlands for more than 25 years. But i never used axo, it always looks strange to me. What is the reason you use axo? btw, love your video’s!

Hey John! Thanks for the comment! Personally I use them as a visual reference for clients in the bathrooms like shown here. Many clients struggle with 2D plans and there isn't always a budget for renders. It would usually be a bit more detailed, showing almost everything that's going on in the bathroom, more for an interior design point of view. Doesn't have to be an axo, can be any 3D style, it just a simple setup process and easily manipulated in archicad, hence why axo for me 🙂
Hi man, i from chile , i would like to work in australia modeling renders 3d i dont have profession , but, i am learning sketchup on youtube , can i work modeling 3d in australia without a profession just using sketckup , vray 3d max and a litle bit of archicad ?

No idea, not my area of expertise. Sorry.
Good job, thanks, David. As an architect, my eyes can't stand Axonometric drawings which I believe they're more for engineers? :) Only exception is exploded views for presentation, but still quite old school, sometimes it's useful.
@DavidTomic

Hahaha! I use it more so for client presentations then anything else. Impact vs reward ratio is too high not too. Builders seem to appreciate it too.
