Archetypal Synchronistic Resonance with Vernon Neppe

Vernon Neppe, MD, PhD, FRSSAf, is a neuropsychiatrist and head of the Pacific Neuropsychiatric Institute in Seattle. He is a former president of the South African Society for Psychical Research. He is author, with physicist Edward Close, of Reality Begins with Consciousness: A Paradigm Shift that Works, and author of Déjà Vu Revisited, Déjà Vu: A Second Look, Déjà Vu: Glossary and Library, Cry the Beloved Mind: A Voyage of Hope, and Innovative Psychopharmacotherapy. His professional publications number over 700. Dr Neppe has amplified many of his concepts in two of the websites linked with his work. On www.Brainvoyage.com, his books are amplified. www.VernonNeppe.org is his gateway and includes more information on the Neppe-Close model of the Triadic Distinction Vortical Paradigm.
Here, Dr. Neppe a matrix of synchronistic connections he has experienced with Dr. Edward Close, coauthor of Reality Begins with Consciousness. Dr. Close developed a solution to Fermat’s Last Theorem, and has been identified as the reincarnation of Fermat - according to trance channel Kevin Ryerson, working in conjunction with Dr. Walter Semkiw. Dr. Neppe has felt a strong connection with the mathematics of Georg Cantor and his “infinity of infinities”. Kevin Ryerson’s spirit guide, “Atun Re”, identified Neppe as having been Cantor in a previous incarnation. Atun Re also identified Neppe and Close as both having been correspondents of Gottfried Leibnitz in a previous life.
CORRECTION: Dr. Close's solution to Fermat's Last Theorem was published in 1965, not 1969.
New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in "parapsychology" ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980). He is also the Grand Prize winner of the 2021 Bigelow Institute essay competition regarding the best evidence for survival of human consciousness after permanent bodily death.

LOVED this! I'm a scholar of Chinese art history, not a mathematician, but I have had deeply synchronistic experiences. Reading a semi-fictionalised account of the tragic death of a black man in the United States, "Like Trees, Walking", I reached the final page and realised the date was the anniversary of a lucid dream I'd had about a beloved friend, a Maori, who had died in the same terrible way as the man in the story, and had returned in spirit form to the author (his brother) on THE SAME NIGHT as my dear friend had appeared to me, All Hallow's Eve, in the same type of surroundings - on a beach, in flickering firelight. Such mysterious experiences make life indescribably richer. The hairs stood up on my arms, just as (from memory) the author described happened to him. I tried to contact the author through his New York publisher but sadly received no reply.

Good to see Dr. Neppe once again on your show, Jeff, and I am looking forward to the further episode soon! Oddly: I was just thinking less than two hours ago, "I need to look into set theory." ;)

There is an infinity between 0 and 1. Also between 0 and 0.1 There are infinite infinities between 0 and 1!

Absolutely fascinating, thoroughly enjoyable. I had a profoundly synchronistic event concerning "multiple" infinities during "deep thought" and archetypes involved with Cantor and William James...perple.xing and profound

It seems like a logical inconsistency. The term infinite means without any limits. It would be like saying the zero of zeros. But i am no mathemetician. Unless an infinity can be put in sets and then there are an infinte number of infinte number of sets. But still i dont believe infinite would have any limits or category. But perhaps mathematicians neednt be limited by reality but whether the math works.

If there are infinitely many numbers between zero and one, infinitely many numbers between one and two, between two and three, and so on, then it seems like there's an infinity of distinct, countable infinities. But then, no matter how close together two numbers are, we can still specify an infinite series of numbers between them, and yet another infinite series between any two of those . . . And so it seems we have an infinity of infinitely many infinities . . . Maybe you're right and we're making some kind of basic error to start counting infinities in the first place. Maybe all of this should have been included our concept of infinity from the beginning. Infinite infinitesimals and infinite sets of sets of sets . . . however far you want to zoom in or out (although without any physical meaning below the Planck scale). But it seems like this should come as no surprise.

15:40 is key - that this whole idea of incarnation is too extravagant or extreme perhaps; that there is some other ephemeral quality being shared from the forebearer to the later receiver that has to with (or is caused by) a wider variety of possible "links". This would go on to explain my own ideas about ASR as a "Rastafarian" (connecting to the late Emperor of Ethiopia).

All speculation when it comes to claims of who one was in a previous life, if we are to take these claims seriously perhaps we should take the Cleopatra ones seriously too. Again, we have to be mindful of egotism.
