Archery Shop - Setting up a store and making sales
Спорт
We look at a new archery shop. How it has been setup. We look at how to sell, how to setup a display, mistakes when setting up a shop, we give suggestions to think about when setting up a display.
We discuss compound bow displays, recurve bow displays, making it easy for a customer.

Nice Merchandising review, I have to agree with a lot of your observations.. In my area I have to drive 40 miles to find a store with basically one rack of bows and stand around waiting 30-40 minutes for a sales rep. If I did not watch your great reviews I would have no where to even start when I shop
Mate you have a natural talent. Very engaging and genuine.
I agree with you on the review of the displays. I realy enjoy with stores are segmented into areas. Lets say "kids corner", "hunting segment", "Target segment" . And each segment is split into price ranges from affordable to high end stuff . That way you got arrows, bows and accessories together for each segment and its possible to have those "bundles" of "All in one" package deal. So this will make it much easier for both the customer and the staff to grasp what they are looking at. And not have one "segment" spread out across the entire shop. That creates alot of questions to the staff. And staff needs to run around and find stuff. And you dont like customers to wait in a que for long time.
I would love to walk into a shop that was half that nice. The shops around me carry one possibly two brands. They display the flagship models and one or two lesser models. The better shops will have a kids bow or two. They have a selection of two or three release aids, quivers, sights, and rests. 3 or 4 arrow choices. Absolutely nothing as far as traditional archery or Olympic archery, not a bow, quiver, arrow, riser, or limb. Most of the shops are very small in size, are under stocked, over priced, and uninformed.

Too true
You should do a shop tour video of Archery Supplies also! :)
The guy who owns this NEEDS to see this video!
You are rite on point mate, about what is on display and what should be on display and whether last years or new for the current year models. Seems to be very unorganized and not very appealing.
Wish archery was as big in WA as it is over in the east. Most clubs here are very small and poorly funded.
We, a group of archers in Portugal are looking for an archery shop that hs an on-line catalogue and sends things according to weight, not "minimum size package of a cubic meter" and sends direct, not via the UK. Please answer.
As you mentioned things are very different in Europe. Here in the UK hunting anything with a bow is illegal. Shops still sell hunting stuff, mainly because it's cheaper and back yard shooters use it. Nobody here has even close to as much stock as either of your stores. Merlin Archery is fairly well stocked, but probably has half as many bows on display as this shop. My local shop, has perhaps 12 compound bows in stock, 20 recurve risers and 15 traditional bows. It's considered one of the bigger shops.
Sir I need one f155 recurve bow with yellow handle, how can I place order ? And will it be possible for you to shipping in india?
Just to clarifying. If you go into an IKEA warehouse. First floor is always the "show-room" with all diffrent compartments. "Living room","kitchen","bedroom", "kidsroom" etc. Each part of the shop can be split into one compartment. Its very basic retailing display planning. I would really recommend taking a tour through some famous "store concepts" so they get the "feel" for it.
The archery shop near me has 1/10th the stock, but they can order it! .. Might take 4-6 months to be delivered.
I thought that was a second shop you were opening. I hope it goes good for the owner.
Would love a store like that in WA. Working towards it slowly. Something to give people options. Most only have 4-5 bows in stock at any one time here. I would love to build a clean shop with plenty of options.
