Archery 101 coaching: Taking the training wheels off (part 4 of 5)
Спорт
Part 4 of 5. The goal for a beginning archer is to make sure your form is fundamentally correct so you are starting your archery journey on the right path to minimize mistakes down the road. In this video, Bryce finally gets a real bow in his hand. It’s CRITICAL that you don’t skip the steps detailed in videos 1-4 of this series. Those steps give you the building blocks to make sure YOU are ready for the real thing.

Bryce! Working with a guy like John is an absolute privilege, absorbe as much as you can.
I'm a mature 74 and if you saw me shoot my compound you'd know where I learned my technique. Thanks! This is good stuff and added reinforcement. Best wishes! O, the young man is a good listener. I congratulate him.
Thank you so much for this series. I am new to the sport and hoping to get out hunting when I get more accuracy. This has given me a great hand and I just went out and shot better than ever today by following these steps, so simple. Thank you. Deano from Australia.
Well done Bryce! If most archers had these fundamentals, the sky's the limit. See you on the tv😊
This guy is going to kick ass against his buddies no doubt! Awesome for him to get this training from ground zero. 👍👍
Excellent knowledge here! Thank you!
Dud your the best hands down👏👏👍🤩
Awesome job Brice 🤘🤘
It's called muscle memory, but archery/shooting is way more than just fundamentals. Welcome to archery Bryce.
Great video series.see you in 7 springs.
Hope to meet you at TAC pico if you will be there john. Good work with the rookie. He will be out shooting me on to time!!😂😂
One thing I can't understand: why do even those who learn the surprise release with a tension-style release aid later "graduate" to a trigger release? If one goes to the trouble of learning a good pull through shot using a tension-style RA, why invest the extra work (which is a lot!) in making a trigger release just mimic what the tension-style already does normally? What's gained by not just continuing to shoot the tension-style in the rest of your career? Inquiring minds (who've done this) want to know.
I am no where near the coach that you are but… I have been thinking of getting a youth archery program started up in my hometown. I am also thinking of taking over the country 4H archery program if the current guy retires. Any tips on getting a program up a running and also coaching younger kids? Balance between proper shooting and FUN ???
