I am extremely happy and proud for our Archbishop Chito Tagle, a good friend and inspiration to love God deeply in our poor.

Regarding this "sudden" renewed interest brought about by the proclamation of the Year of Faith, it makes me wonder why as pastors of the church, it took the hierarchy fifty years from the Second Vatican Council to see the prevalent dichotomy of Catholic living, resulting to the spread of a crisis of faith to others, when other realities/movement within the Church have pointed this out already in the early years after the aforementioned council [part1]

It makes me wonder whether the seat of Peter is in fact relating to the vocation of Paul? In my opinion, this delayed event has confirmed what others have expressed that the seat of Peter wants to always have the limelight. Plagiarism much Papa-Razzi? And a very good question to ask our Cardinal-elect would be, beyond the hermeneutics of continuity and the intended clarification of the Second Vatican Council, how does the Mother Church, in the Philippines reality intend to ... If the early Christian communities, who were persecuted for what they believed in converted the pagans through their signs of love and unity, I can only say that this is very hard to find now a days, at best rarely. Introduce me to someone who is willing to embrace their cross(es) because they have the guarantee of eternal life; I guess the light has been extinguished, the salt has lost its flavor and the leaven is spoiled. How do you (the Church) recover these? Kaawaan nawa tayong lahat.

... re-educate the faithful to recover the true sense of their Catholicism? Maybe we should first relinquish the illusion that the Philippines is a majorly Catholic country since it holds only in title and not in action. These thoughts coming from a once Catholic, now Pagan Filipino who believes that there is nothing that differentiate a pagan who believes in a higher being from a regular Filipino Catholic. [part3]
