IT WAS PROTECTED BECAUSE ITIS OUTSIDE OF INDIA. IF IT WAS IN INDIA IT DESTROYED BY BRAHMAN AND NAMED IT BELONGS TO MAHABHART OR RAMAYAN

The Pakistani government is not doing it out of love. They have got Western grants to preserve heritage sites. Otherwise, the people would have just destroyed them or modified them. They are not doing it out of some altruistic feeling.

no afghanistan had a buddhist a majority only the western part of afghanistan like herat and all that area had a zoroastrain majority .buddhists were the majority untill as far as ghor , bamiyan,etc while area untill kapisa ,kabul , kandahar was considered as part of india

kabul despite every attempt to destroy its real history still has the royal temple of the kabul shahis(the hindu rulers who ruled kabul and that entire region standing there untill defeated by the turkic ghaznavids ) regarding bamiyan well the huge bamiyan buddha afghans destroyed is enough to tell the truth . in fact even after islam that kabul-kandahar easternmost region remained part of india untill the 17th century when finally the hotaks and then abdali seperated it from india forever

The sate of India came into being in 1947, this combined all the different states and cultures of the subcontinent into one country India. Is this the ancient Buddhist realm of Uddiyana ? Did Padmasambhava once walk there ? Will he or some One else walk there again ?

The Kushans were actually Bactrio-Zoroastrian not Buddhist. They became patrons of Buddhism after Kanishka only though concurrently held on to their Zoroastrian pantheon. Buddhism arrived as missionary religion to Pakistan from Videha or Nepal. Though many of these buildings need not have been "viharas" at all.
