You should've done xeno in safi's arena. Safi couldn't heal or enter any if its other phases, so it was heavilly handicapped Also this really shows what an arch tempered safi could've been

Xeno should fight Safi in the Secluded Valley, because honestly this fight was too much in Xeno's favor.

Now seeing this two next to each other I can see the similarities in the attacks better

Should do a rematch in safis arena. His mechanics got bugged in xenos arena. He couldn't go critical or use the bio energy to heal etc

What happened was safi cant heal unless hes in his arena which means the arena is uniquely programmed for that which is really cool. Anyway and if you notice safi's health he got only 9k instead of his normal 27k (not sure if he was nerfed by the creator or this is from the safi health nerf to make him easier for solo hunters)

GameStorm Safi had his health nerfed to have the battle end in a reasonable time. Xeno had a theoretical Master Rank + Arch-Tempered health modifier, _then_ had his health nerfed. This just goes to show that Arch-Temper is such a gross increase to stats that it overshadows being one of the three final bosses.

Really makes you appreciate the process of metamorphosis enabling the crystalline Xeno to form into a traditional dragon.

To be fair, Safi’s beams missed. A lot! It would seem that it hit Xeno but at times there was no damage done. Idk if it has something to do with Xeno’s hit boxes, or maybe it’s just the tempered Xeno health bar. Either way what a weird fight.

SPOILERS: for all those that are confused about safi losing the reason is his ai breaks in xenos arena, he cant go super critical because theres no energy there. and he doesent do aoes because of xenos arena

Safi'jiiva only used beams and he got a small hp bar and his attacks couldn't register

It appears that Xeno went way more aggressive and used its arsenal better than Safi, which only just spammed beams that sadly didn't do that much. GG for Xeno

😂😂Exactly! I absolutely love this content but it unfortunately doesn’t reflect what would actually happen. One of Xeno’s big weaknesses is that he’s squishy as hell. Safi almost doesn’t take damage unless he’s been mechanically spot weakened. Then there’s just the matter of Saphire of the emperor basically being a one shot to every monster in lore (maybe except the black dragons but it’s debatable)

@@fluff6811 That's not just lore, Sapphire of the Emperor and Ecliptic Meteor are coded in the game to instantly kill, without checking damage values. I'm not sure if the effect applies to other monsters, because it was never coded to, but that's how it works for players.

@@bigchungus6827 Well damage values aren’t canon to their lore accurate attack power, I see what you’re getting at but gameplay in Monster hunter is optimized to prevent absurd power cliffing which is why you can have a rathalos fireball and an Alatreon paw swipe deal similar damage despite Alatreons physical strength being enough to slap a Dalamadur onto the ground whilst a Rathalos fireball could maybe destroy a relatively sturdy tree, big difference in lore but in game not so much. That’s the main reason why I don’t trust damage values in game, I know that they are coded with game balance in mind and don’t accurately reflect the power that attack would realistically hold, cuz otherwise hunts would have MUCH greater difficulty gaps in between them than they already do. I appreciate the thought tho, at the very least it’s something to keep in mind🙂

@@bigchungus6827 Yes, and that's not a bad thing, this video being an inaccurate representation only makes it a bad representation of the matchup realistically, there's still quite a bit of enjoyment to be had in watching as the monsters use their in game capabilities and attack values to kill eachother. If something is incorrect in it's representation of the source material, the priority will always go to the source, so when discussing how the fight would actually go we don't need the video to refer to as it doesn't have relevant information, which again, isn't a bad thing.

This fight continues the trend of showing how Monster-on-Monster fights can have very unexpected quirks and outcomes depending on how the game calculates damage done to each combatant by the other's different moves.

Something i noticed is that xeno's beams always did damage if it made contact, meanwhile safi's beams seem to only sometimes do damage for some reason. Also it appears xeno's beam does multiple damage ticks (although at a lot slower rate to shara)

Safi'jiiva is far from smaller; it's not that much longer, but it has a much thicker and more dense body overall. Safi'jiiva is sizably larger than its immature form. Also, something else to note is that Safi'jiiva is far from a normal kind of creature given its energy absorption-based life-cycle.

@@BigBastion623 There's really no need. Not all creatures strictly get bigger when they change forms, namely certain "-fly" species (butterflies, dragonflies, etc.) whose nymph/caterpillar forms are actually on average larger than their mature forms.

ゼノは別にムフェト系の特異個体とかそういうのではない。別個体ではあるけど、あの大きさに特に意味はない。ゴアとシャガルで大きさが変わらないのと同じ。 ゴアも戦闘後すぐに脱皮(ムービー)して成体になったので、無印ゼノはエネルギーを十分に吸収して成体になる準備を終えた段階。 繭から出てきても別に生まれたての赤ちゃんというわけではない。古龍渡りは昔から起きていた、最近頻度が上がった、様子を見に行ったらゼノが繭から出てきた、ってだけ。 繭自体は弱い幼体を守る為の殻で、幼体の期間のほとんどを繭の中で過ごしてる可能性もある。

そう考えるとゼノ視点で生まれたてなのか、作中でも孵化と羽化が同時に用いられてたり、フェスタの生態解説では羽化と言いながらも生まれたてとか言ってたりいまいち掴みどころのない表現ばっかりだけど。

Wow this was unexpected. I hope that xeno can fight outside his area, so we can have a rematch in the secluded valley. He doesn't regenerate in his area (can't remember the name sorry) and - forgive me if I'm wrong- he doesn't have any attack or peculiarities that involves the entire arena (like shara's spirit bomb for example) so i'm pretty sure he can have a fair fight with full power safi'jiiva

Yeah, safi wasn't in his arena, if he was I'd expect a different outcome, still awesome to know since I still be having trouble with AT Xeno

Well Xeno also means alien or foreign, safi means pure, and jiiva means a living entity imbued with life force. So Xeno’jiiva means an an alien like living creature and Safi’jiiva means a perfect living creature.

Well the thing is that Safi is an improvement on Xeno in every way. He’s nearly impervious to standard damage, he’s immortal, he has a nearly limitless power ceiling as far as MH monsters go, and he’s incredibly intelligent. And he’s like what? 2😂? Imagine Safi with the age of Fatalis. Literally an unstoppable wave of destruction

I love Safi, it's my second favorite ED next to Duremudira, but normal Fatalis is already the ceiling of the franchise, and its other two forms are just ridiculous. Hell, Fatalis reaches maturity after hatching in mere *hours* and only gets stronger from there on out.

Safi tried to scold the rebellious teenager Xeno, only to get murdered 😂

I know I'm late to this and I actually don't know Monster Hunter pretty much at all, but I saw a couple of these fights and thought they were pretty cool. However, Safi kept on missing beams or something. A ton of the beam attacks just didn't hit Xeno, one case was at about 9:10 and another is 13:54 the beam does nothing then the headbutt hits. I ended up stopping watching the actual fight and focusing mainly on watching Xeno's health which stayed the same during a bunch of Safi attacks. People were talking about phases and healing being what gimped Safi which I guess would have helped, again not a Monster Hunter player so I don't have any first hand experience; but if Safi just did damage with all the attacks that seemed as though they should have hit it would have been at the very least way way closer.

If you should do that in safi arena in the second floor would he make his ultimate attack or not ? Bc i was waiting that.. safi was really in a big handicap here.. (even if i wanted xeno win.. but his win doesn't sound it has A REAL WIN !)

Looks like they put out a similar amount of damage, there was just a 3k gap in health that Safi couldn't close because it was in the wrong arena.

Not only that but as far as scaling goes, Safi is at the very least 3x stronger than xeno in his base form. Plus the version we fight in the secluded valley is actually weaker than he would be anywhere else considering the secluded valley is incredibly low in bio energy even before he got there. If Safi grew up anywhere else there is no hope of hunters being able to kill him

At 2:43 I just noticed that Xeno’s beam bounced off the crystal in the back

I knew Safi would lose to Arch Tempered Xeno even if it's not the full power where Safi'jiiva heals itself and uses the sapphire of the emperor.

Safi's AI got nerfed badly if it isn't in it's owned map.

And too bad. It doesn't fly often. AT Xeno fly more often. The reason is probably Safi'jiiva doesn't have an AT version. I feel bad for we don't have AT Safi'jiiva.(If COVID-19 doesn't ruin the MHWI, we probably have AT Safi, AT Shara and even AT Alarteon.)

Probably because you may have not fought Arch Tempered Xeno. He’s got a ton more moves

Would be hell of a way to promote a new monsterverse movie XD but also a Lot of Work . This is why i think that we for now have to live with the ghidorah easter Egg that is in the safi jiiva Quest . Which could Just be a fun easter Egg or a teaser for Gen 6 console Games

Local Neon dragon beats his own father to death.

Xeno'jiva output and capacity.(effective vs monsters) Safi'jiva attack rate and efficiency.(effective vs hinters)

Seeing more and more Xeno'jiiva and Safi'jiiva, I wonder how Xeno is a younger Safi

Xeno has weak spots on his arms and legs wings ect, when you fight saf you need to weaken parts to actually do damage, not to mention the xeno is arch tempered, were he not arch tempered there was no chance. And its in xenos arena where saf can't heal or nuke

@@PPsmal Oh what I mean is that Currently Safi is slightly weaker. But if he went outside the secluded valley and sucked up some actual energy rich earth then he’d be the strongest. It’s just that Fatalis has a power ceiling and he’s reached it but Safi is only limited by how much land he has access to

@@fluff6811 Reached it? Crimson Fatalis, Super Crimson Fatalis (G-rank) of MH4 Ultimate & White Fatalis would have a word with that statement of yours.

Sad devs made safis moveset terrible. One flying attack(2 if you count the pin) and spamming lasers the whole time. And making him smaller than xeno even though it was in game that's not the case it's pretty obvious here.

How can you do that

I would like to see a 3v3 All blue Rathalos,Silver Rathalos and Rathalos vs pink Rathein,Gold Rathein and Rathein
