This video demonstrates how to digitally fabricate a simple surface with laser cut pieces. The method described uses the Orient component to move pieces onto a cut sheet. I also show how to add numbers to both the digital model and the pieces, to help with assembly.

Great tutorial, thank you for sharing it! it's really useful. I installed fabtools and elefront but cannot find the Text tool, I was wondering if it has something to do with a new version, and if that is the case, what is the equivalent tool in the most recent one. Thank you!

I found it! it's a tool form the OpenNest plugin, not Fabtools. In case anyone was having the same problem.

I know it is an old video but would like to ask how to make the numbering of neighbouring panels? I tried that a lot, and could not accomplish the goal. How would you do this?
