ARCH 231 - Digital Fabrication Connections for Surface Panels (in Grasshopper)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This video describes how to create hinge connections between surface panels using zip-ties. The method in Grasshopper involves using surface / curve intersections to orient the connections across neighboring panels.

Great lesson. A way to make the number slider of the perp frame parametric for both 0.25 and 0.75 will be to have subtraction component with 1 subtracting 0.25 and substituting it with the 0.75 number slider, with that the 0.25 number slider will be the only slider needed to be controlled. I do have a question though, i will like to know how one can consider the thickness of the material since they will be bent at an angle if its 18mm plywood for example?

Really very good tutorial. Some time ago i did something similar in a Blender (i'm not pro blender user) with Python but recently discovered rhino and grashooper. and I really want to know that. I think I have a problem with understanding the logic of these scripts (I think every control is a small script), may by I'm too old. Here I have a problem with Perp frame, in my case , every triangle 1 edge is not supported. I will look for an answer a little more, but I think I'll start looking for a programmable answer :)

I did it :), but I have a question, I have the numbers on the cut triangles, but to find the neighboring triangle, I have to turn on the computer and check the rhino file. I wonder if you can find it with a grasshopper
