positioning and defensive trading usage. high value early alter time, temporal, barrage slow / sprint uptime, spellsteal spam on HoTs and other beneficial buffs. nova, blast wave knocks, CoC 70% slow. high value shifting power full channels to progressively reset everything mentioned above consistently. also having an rdru on your team helps 😊

Why do you use fireblast?

It's good for killing grounding totems or soaking a spell reflect. For example.. picture this scenario. You're touch POM blasting kill target, enemy shaman presses grounding. You have 4 combo points + 1 POM stack left. Do you really want to barrage or POM blast that grounding? If you POM blast it, you are wasting a ton of dmg. If you barrage it, you lose your combo points which will desync your POM and touch of magi CDs more. Best thing to do is just fire blast the grounding (since it dies 1 shot to fire blast) and continue min maxing your damage on kill target as normal. Same thing with warrior reflect. Why let him reflect a potential 140k barrage / blast if you can just reflect 10k of fire blast dmg back to yourself then continue min maxing. Another good use for it is when a DK dark simulacrums you. Dark sim steals the next casted spell from you. They will usually try to steal a Polymorph. You can stop casting the Poly, then fire blast and now he's essentially stolen a useless spell from you. :)
