Arcadia Gardens was built in 1983. The design was inspired by the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. This is a 3900 sqft apartment. When we were given an opportunity to do the interiors of this space we wanted very much to consider the spirit of a place and integrate a new interior flawlessly into its surroundings. The fit out should look natural to the site and put the focus on the beautiful and very lush surroundings and the life unfolding in the place rather than having the new interiors completely taken over by it. It is important for us that the design does not feel alien to its very green context - especially in a place like Arcadia Gardens where there is a perfectly harmonised environment with nature.
