Caveman Ninja by Data East Year in 1991 the player 2 Joe & Mac, two cavemen who fight against enemy cavemen and dinosaurs using projectile weapons. A great tribute to DragonNinja. Love the three endings. Joe & Mac were the most intelligent of the tribe.

Kinda funny when a long play of a game is 20 mins, because today loads of people think a game don't have much value if it's less than 10 hours. Most games were short in 1980's and 90's.

The game stars the green haired Joe and the blue haired Mac,Caveman named Joe and Mac who battle through numerous prehistoric levels using weapons such as boomerangs, bones, fire, flints, electricity, stone wheels and clubs. The objective of the game is to rescue a group of women who were kidnappped by a rival tribe of cavemen. The game features a health system by which the player loses health over a period of time, apart from during boss battles. A two- player mode is available, and in some versions both characters are capable of damaging each other.

Just got this on the Nintendo switch, it's good but hard as hell. I could see this game consuming a lot of Quarters in the Arcades.

To commerotate 15 years anniversary of 'WOL' (since December 2020, WOL accept users to livestreaming between according to KZread's schedule and Twitch (belong with WOL Twitchers)) DragonNinja's prequel 'Caveman Ninja' or widely known as in home ports 'Joe & Mac' : - Settings in prehistoric landscape (mixed between Cretaceous and Pleistocene) - Starred by 2 different colours in hair (Green for Joe & Blue for Mac) - Save the females entirely

This game came to the Super NES, PC, NES, Game Boy, and the Sega Genesis as "Joe & Mac", some of which drop the name "Caveman Ninja".

¡Es realmente impresionante este juego para principios de los 90! Visualmente muy llamativo y artístico. La versión para Super Nes, no fue precisamente un intento por adaptarse lo más fielmente posible a la arcade (hasta el nombre cambió por "Joe & Mac"); sino fue, mas bien, pensado como una adaptación libre del mismo. Con todo, noté que tanto la música como muchos efectos sonoros (por ejemplo, los gemidos de los dinosaurios) suenan incluso mejor en la consola de Nintendo que en este sensacional título.

Wanna play this again in its original cabinet then check out the galloping ghost arcade near Chicago Illinois...

Joe & Mac was called Caveman Ninja? Go figure.

Sure were a lot of caveman games in the late 80's-early 90's. This game, Bonk's Adventure, Chuck Rock... I had Chuck Rock for the Genesis, it was pretty fun, especially the Ice Age level.

More like emulation problems, the music gets slow down and off beat way too frequently.

Every time i played this game in a different arcade, every machine had a different rinda glitch. In this case, 12:26, dude what Did happen? In other games, some monsters did not appear at all. Music was very variable. Despite all of this, was a super arcade game!

I remember this on an arcade cabinet in an old pizza place I went to when I was 8.

I remember playing this at a caravan resort.

-ow shit man,until the present day I don´t know how do that Jet up. and it is a crazy already.

The funniest part was starting the fire when you threw the fire ball on the shining floor below in the lava level. Sad you didn't do it.

I always found the inside of the dinosaur at the end of the game very creepy.

Beat this on the Nintendo Switch. The arcade port is much more challenging than the SNES version I'm more familiar with, but I liked that it was more Cuphead like boss rush style vs. the Super Mario like platformer that it was on the SNES. Both have good and bad things, the arcade port could get quite unfair at parts, while the SNES port is sometimes too easy, has been censored and doesn't have certain things like specific weapons, the powering up ability or splitting paths. Both are good games.

I played this in the arcade, and I don't remember half of this. I am sure it's the same game because I do remember the final boss had a heart you could attack, and the 3 choice ending is familiar.

Dunno, but I enjoyed more the SNES version. Had greater variety of bosses, items, a stage map, the stages were way longer, and the devil as the final boss was more difficult. Only regret is the lack of the supercharged attack, but still was a great game.

Out of all the power-ups in the game, the lightning seems to be more effective than the others, so I'd stick with that one.

For the time being, this is as close as we'll be playing Joe & Mac: Caveman Ninja on Switch since the Switch Online SNES service doesn't have it yet... : (

This is Joe & Mac: caveman ninja It is similar to the Genesis version. The SNES one has some differences as well.

You should have kept the electric weapon: it's the most powerful and the only one that can go.through multiple enemies. It's also the best boss killer, as it can deal damage even during "invincible" attacks.
