Can believe the final boss is the professor from spin master

For the longest time, I had NO clue this game even existed! I really enjoyed it, but nothing beats the original.

It's so depressing knowing this game never released on home consoles (PHYSICALLY). It looks SO fun. I love how they made the gameplay similar to Snow Bros./Bubble Bobble.

@@0BRAINS0 Super LATE reply, but Joe & Mac 1 & 2 are completely different games than the one in this video. Joe & Mac Returns never released on home consoles. It was only an arcade.

These games are my childhoods

I have always picked the Ice zone as a starting location. The boss was hard, but later on the Mammoth could become a very nasty boss due to all the added obstacles. I always made sure to beat him first.

Meta Runner took some inspiration from this game...don't lie to me SMG4 this was an arcade classic to me!!

Shame that Data East has long been defunct, I liked the idea behind Joe and Mac. Im so glad to own Joe and Mac 1 and 2 for my SNES!

There you go. I have owned one of Data East's games for my SNES, Fighter's History, and I have beaten it three times four years ago--plus the one time in 1996, before I even owned it. I miss Data East.

Definitely the highlight of the game for me.

Like I said, the company that gives you random good and bad games Data East. If they were here today they would have been eaten alive by rating (1 out 5)

Yes, it's another Data East single screen platformer, this time the very colourful Joe and Mac Returns from 1994. Good scenery, lots of hidden items and some downright peculiar cutscenes. It's a good game, but I still prefer Tumblepop.

Es un spin off, con esa clase de juegos no es importante que comparta la jugabilidad de sus predecesores. Aparte, es más posible que se gaste más fichas en juegos así. 😂

So...as many people said, this was the real sequel to Joe and Mac. But unfortunatley...the concept felt like a copy-and-paste 'Tumblepop' than a sequel, so it may dissapoint them. Also, it is VERY Hanna-Barbera-esque in tone. Especially when you hear the 2 laughing voice samples stored in game. Like most other arcade games, this one includes voice samples...and like most other, it can get annoying and repetitious. The voice samples from the original 'Joe and Mac' are better than this. These voice samples, while better than the original, comes as flat out annoying. Here are some of my favorite samples: 1:07 (Insert Coin) 4:52 ('Taladu?') 4:59 (A bang sample. Sounds like a balloon pop sample.) 5:02 (Laughing 1) Cut back to the review, the only good things are the music and story lines. As for the cutscenes? They are so perverted in nature! Why? This is a Data East game! What was Data East thinking anyway? Okay, so the game moves really slow. And that is about it. Especially the characters running. And to top it all off... Someone please turn the sample at 5:05 into a meme. Seriously, these voice samples are some of the most irritating things about this game that can annoy someone to death. Fun fact about this game is that this is one of the very few Data East games *not* to be owned by G-Mode.

@@hurricanemixer Not really... The cutscenes are so predictable, and so slow that the jokes have no impact to them at all. And I wouldn't call "being horny all the time" a personality. It's a personality *trait* maybe, but one trait alone doesn't make up an entire personality.

@@hurricanemixer I'm glad you did but I've seen enough anime for those jokes to completely lose all effect on me. They're not particularly original, or clever, or even well-paced. I fail to see how people could find them so funny unless they're simple-minded folk.

Tú forma de jugar es rara. Podías haber hecho más puntos, no fuiste a todos los extra stage, tampoco obtuviste más vidas. Curiosamente no superaste los puntos a vencer sino que fue exactamente el mismo puntaje.

Crappy, repetitive music and annoying sound effects and voiceovers...you have more patience than I do.
