@@aliibn-muhammadal-sharif8568 it’s been a year 😅 but as far I remember, and please note this is not specific to Shias nor to pilgrimages of course, some people overstretch things, facts or practices; I noticed though it is often also symptomatic of a lack elsewhere of an equivalent depth; In other words, too much here means not enough there. In this case, too much poured in a past injustice* means not enough poured in current injustices. And I don’t blame anyone -that’s not my job- but I see it is clearly the case, especially in Muslim countries. * I don’t demean past injustices: they are common and have impunity.

How many sunni Muslim dancers you know? I know many. Your sentence has no logic. Not every Muslim practices Islam just because he is born with the religion. You must be very familiar ( I hope) with this verse: The Bedouin arabs say, ‘We have faith.’ Say, ‘You do not have faith yet; rather, say, ‘‘We have embraced Islam,’’ for faith has not yet entered into your hearts. Yet if you obey Allah and His Apostle, He will not stint anything of [the reward of] your works. Indeed Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful.’ (14) Not every Muslim is a believer. And only God know what is in heart of ppl.

It requires a vision a pure devotion and great respect and love for the values for which Imam offered this huge sacrifice so that it becomes indelible. No body claims that it has been derived from Al-Quran. You can not understsnd vcoz you do not gave that devotion and respect. But ofcourse you have a right to have and express your views. Prophet Muhammad said When you invent something into the religion it becomes a bidah innovation and all innovation leads to hell shiism is based on innovation. Have been reading Quran with English and Urdu translation of various scholars including Maulana Maudoodi and have been trying to understand and connect things to the best of my abilities.Allah has invited the reader of Qurani Aayat to think over it not once but many times. I do not believe in being judgemental. Actually in one Ayat Allah sbhanahu Taala says in apparently annoyed manner... Why don't you think, why don't you ponder...Afala yataffakuroon, Afala yatatadabbaroon

It would be interesting to know how many of these pilgrims to these shrines actually regularly pray daily and fast Ramadan. Also what would سيدنا الحسين رضي الله عنه think about people performing acts, that are practically tantamount to shirk, in his name.

You can help brothers in faith by googling and visiting "wf aid" $10 to feed a school child for a month, or $15 to spread the warmth by broviding blankets.
