Awesome stuff! Do you think it's possible to have multiple outlets so all your mates can plug into your hot dog at once? 😅

Cheers mate Happy new year
Very neat install Jonathon, only suggestion I have is to add on the Arb air pressure control module. You control it on your phone via an app, you can have preset pressures eg road, sand etc. I get out of the car, plug on the hose and turn on the compressor, choose the preset and connect the hose to the wheel. It inflates or deflates to the set pressure automatically and I believe it deflates the 4 tyres in a faster total elapsed time vs the dedicated deflator as your not wasting time screwing the deflator on, removing the valve and then in reverse afterwards. I don’t even bring my deflator and inflator chuck any more.

Hi mate thanks for letting me know! I'll have a look into it. Sometimes i do run my pressures different front and rear so it may not be suitable.

@@JCYT I run different pressures front and back. When it starts to do the first rear tyre I up the target pressure by a couple of psi, it’s very flexible
Clean install mate keen to see what else is happening with the 79 becoming a neat build!

You're welcome mate hope it works out! I ended up getting rid of the circuit breaker and installed a MIDI fuse in its place The circuit breaker kept tripping on hot days (it was a low quality eBay spec one though). It's been otherwise perfect with the midi fuse.
Neatly done mate, awesome work👍🏾... Hey man one thing that captured my attention was your side step. Could you care to explain, please tell me about it.. Do a video about your side steps....Dang my first time to see something like that..😀

@@JCYT Awesome thanks for the reply!
jack the side of the car a little bit, the compressor doesn't have to fight the vehicle weight and pressure inside the tyre at the same time.

You could spray the front of it with WD40 too so it slips through the air better.

Cheers mate If you reallyyy wanted one, there are about 2-3 new ones sitting on the used car lot at every dealership. There's a clear reason people have missed the boat...
I'm about to do the same install expect with the provided ARB tank. Why did you run an additional relay? My understanding is there already is one? Was the circuit breaker required? I know little about 12v.
@JCYT
Жыл бұрын
Hi mate! There was no additional relay used. The ARB switch/relay is a 2 in 1 so the switching circuit I have left completely as designed by ARB. You will need to run an additional circuit breaker to protect your new cable against short circuits which is a possibility in the event you're in a car accident. The two small 40A maxi fuses are to protect the 2 x arb compressors (on the twin compressor).
Hey mate just wondering how you wired the switch? Also the supply from your compressor is that coming from a main battery or Aux? Cheers
@JCYT
9 ай бұрын
Hey mate The switch comes prewired out of the box from ARB and the only wiring I really needed to do was to supply power from the main battery. Best way to do it - I would avoid wiring direct to aux battery unless the battery bank is huge! It's just a relay switch, wouldn't be hard to do with any standalone compressor.
How did you get power to the switch? I've pretty much done the same thing just stuck on running red yellow switch wire to power
@JCYT
7 ай бұрын
Hey mate As it came straight from the portable box, it was prewired and bolted straight in with two cables going direct to battery. If you've bought the compressor separate, you'll need a relay to control the compressor via a switch. Hope that makes sense
Great video mate. Could you list the parts/website for the additions filler pipe? Other than the 90 degree pipe from Mackay . Cheers mate
@JCYT
Жыл бұрын
Hey mate the alloy pipe was existing from the norweld tray however entire filler neck could be substituted by 2 90 deg hoses (1 of them will need to be a long leg hose) + 1m 50mm OD alloy pipe depending where your filler is. Thanks for watching!
