Thanks for making this video with me! I really like the vibe of our conversation. Your encouragement as a native Arabic speaker and teacher is significant. Many people are afraid to speak because they are afraid of making mistakes! But making mistakes is part of learning the language, which can make us progress faster. Don't be discouraged if someone makes fun of our accent or can't understand, keep working and always believe that practice makes perfect!

Arabic fushah is never spoken between people in the street but it is essential for everything other than communication like reading, writing, news, formal communication like in companies, just everything other than communication.. As Levant arabic dialect, we are proudly the most clear dialect in the Arab world, every arab can understand us but it is not vice-versa, we struggle to understand the west dialect (Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria) like we understand about 50% of it , however if you have a friend from there to talk with him in his dialect you will learn so fast, on the other side Egyptian dialect is 95% understandable to Syrians, thanks to Egyptian series which built the great basis of us understanding Egyptian dialect. Egyptian series and movies are used to be showed in the official TV in most of the Arab countries in the past, so it became very usual for us. Lebanese, jordanians, Palestinian dialects are very close to Syrian one, I would say they are the same unless they differ alittle in the sound spoken. Iraq dialect for Syrians is same as Egyptian, means 95% understandable, while the Arabian gulf accents also understandable about 80%. Sorry for all this details but this subject never been too simple!

@abdellahaddoud6254

Hi, I think the levantine and egyptian dialects are the widely understandable due to the media, and not because they are closer to the standard arabic (FuSha). For example, I am moroccan and I an understand all arabic dialects because of TV shows and arabic music that we acceed easily from Morocca as part of the Arab World, but I have friends that struggle with levantine dialects because they grew up in Europe and their only contact with arabic language was their Moroccan family and Moroccan channels and their Standard Arabic classes in Europe.

Native arabic speaker here, thinking that this was recorded when you have been studying arabic for only 3 years is very very impressive because I totally acknowledge how hard arabic is and it gets even herder when you have to learn the dialect as well. I just started my Chinese learning journey a month ago and I will surely come back to this video whenever I am feeling down or discouraged because of how hard Chinese can be to remind myself that hard doesn't mean impossible. My love from Lebanon.

It's really interesting to see the tone changes between Arabic and English when you speak as Arabic provides higher tone compared to the latter. Of course language is the mirror of a culture and that what makes it beautiful. سبحان الله انت ممتاز جدا

Wow girl!! I adore you too much 👍🏻👌 I'm an Iranian girl who love to learn different languages...🌍 I started to learn a bit of Arabic language in Syrian accent a couple of years ago but not seriously just for fun ... then I tried to have fun by learning Arabic in other accents such as Iraqi (my favourite) and Maghrebi .. I understood more than half of your conversation in this video without looking at subtitle!! even though I wasn't serious enough to leaening this language at all (unfortunately) ! i undrestood 60% of this video just beacause i did try to have a conversation with Arabic people and listening to Arabic songs once a while in last couple of years ... At the end my advice for who wants to seriously learn Arabic is to not jump from one accent to the other until learning one for good .. on the other hand you will get confused for good 😀😀 and Syrain accent is super sweet and easier than other accents at the same time ( very good choice to start Arabic with)💗
