I love that all the other horses were checking in on her. She did a great job, one of our mares is due in late march or early April. So excited to meet the foal, we are all hoping for a sorrel filly, our mare is a sorrel. If it’s a filly of any color we’ll be happiest. That being said, it is most important to us is to have a happy and healthy foal and mare, if the foal is a colt we won’t love him any less

@@arabianhorsefamily I've seen a video online recently.....broke my HEART! Mom was a beautiful cow...the owner had mom's head locked between bars, so she couldn't lay down and HAD to stand! Then, he was at her back end and had a vise of some kind locked on top of her hips. The owner was squeezing it somehow and forcing the baby OUT! Now, I'm a mom, if anyone did that to me or if I ever see that happening to ANY animal, some things are going to change at that moment. I didn't leave a comment, because they had them turned off! I wonder WHY? My best to mom and her daughter...PRAY for any cow that has to endure that horrible birthing process. Special place in hell for anyone that abuses animals in any way. 🙏❤🐎

@@lolanfred1ianuzzi130 they only do that when the cow can't have the calf on her own. The cow is put into a stanchion to keep her still, and standing to make it easier to pull the calf. Calves are almost impossible to pull by hand, and the risk of injuring the calf is greater. A properly used ob chain and ratchet will not harm the calf or cow. As a mom that had to have my son pulled out, with a contraption that looked like a toilet plunger, I am very grateful to doctors, and farmers, that help mothers to give birth instead of just allowing the mom and baby die slowly and painfully.

I bred Pure Bred Arabians for 24 yrs. I saw many many foals born over the years and every one was such a beautifull experience. I would liked to see her stand a little quicker than she did, to break cord, but it was a safe delivery and a beautifull baby. The most beautifull of all the breeds.

What a beautiful filly and mare. I like how you left mamma alone while watching carefully at a distance. The less involved you are the stronger their bond will be. She must be so tired. She's trying to reach her but just doesn't have the energy left. For those who aren't aware already: Usually they're quick to get up and clean their foal as long as they got energy left to stand. They're prey animals so it's instinct to hid the evidence of a fresh birth as soon as possible. That way the foal has a better chance of survival.

Ohh gosh she kept sitting on baby! She should have gotten some help by then. So freaking sweet when mama laying there head turned resting on hay just staring at her baby with complete bliss, peace, and totally in LOVE ❤

Horses are so strong and beautiful. Such graceful creatures sometimes i feel bad for what they go through because of us humans . God bless them

That image of mom and filly resting together nose to nose in the straw is one in a million. I’m so glad that you let mom handle things alone since it was a normal presentation. Too many people rush to get involved, which messes with mom’s oxytocin flow. That can actually make the placenta resist detachment.

Ah the miracle of life. Finally found a horse video where people dont interfere with the birth of the foal or try to imprint themselfs all over the foal and ruien the bond betwwen both mother horse and her foal. Im glad that this Arabian mare horse was left alone to just do this on her own. Wish many other horse owners were like this. Because ive seen way too many videos of people pulling or yanking on the foals hind legs or front legs way too often.

I slept next to my horse corral & still i missed the birth but I've always been glad bc I would have been too nervous. I hate when I see people pull the foal out. Contractions are really important for the foal.
