    How about a "contents list" for every tank you display? Fish? Plants? Substrate? Lighting? etc. That would be especially helpful to us newbies.

    Best tip of all it to have fun with it! There's always gonna be work that needs done but dont try to match what others do with their scape. Find what you want and take your time setting it up the way you want. It's your tank after all.

    As a beginner, I really appreciate this. I'm glad you even recommended for us to copy a scape. It might even be a good idea to make a video and a new scape with the purpose of people following step by step, the focus being on copying the same layout and then people could DM you their versions.

    May I request a video discussing the application of red plants into the aquascape? How to plant them, planting difficulty from easy to hard, types of red plants (stem, foreground, carpet and so on), where to plant these different types of red plants, etc. We just jumped into the realm of color variation other than shades of green plants and we have a feeling that it’s very easy to take a good scape and clutter it up with some vibrant colors. I’m guessing with the red plants that “less is more”? Always a pleasure George. Keep up the good work my friend.

    Really enjoyed the video George. I really agree with going back to basics as I recall it can be really daunting when you first start out. As you want new blood in the hobby you have to but the points across in a simple way but also enjoyable to watch and listen to which I think you achieve. It might be worth every few months to recap with a refreshed video for beginners, intermediate and advanced aquascapers so you are covering the whole spectrum. You could build 3 tanks from scratch to cover the the 3 spectrums and video the progress over the monthsJust a thought I have learnt so much over the last 18 months since taking up the hobby. It has been really frustrating at times but so pleased with myself for persevering and finding the answers on the whole. Thank you for helping me through it. All the best Aengus 🦐🐟

    I would like you to do an in depth look at different kinds of substrate from ordinary dirt, to top price designer substrates and everything in between, what the qualities of each bring along with their downsides! I just use dirt and no co2 but do dose liquid carbon and ferts. You couldn't really call the result 'a scape' exactly, it's very green and healthy but not really any structure so dirt I think is the best for this, but would be interested in what other people use for different scenarios and what they think of them. There are some people on KZread reckon sand is a good substrate for plants, but don't see how it can work that well on its own as no cation exchange capacity and it must get very compacted. It's that whole very basic thing of what grows best as it seems that this is at the heart of making a planted tank a success.

  • @GeorgeFarmerStudios

    @GeorgeFarmerStudios

    It’s a great subject for discussion. I have no experience with dirt so would be uncomfortable talking a lot about it, other than relaying anecdotal stuff.

    Nice video George. I often experience problems when I buy plants which I think are emersed plants and after putting in aquarium many of these do not survive because of entirely new surroundings. Can you give a tip on how to acclamatize these plants or the best chance of success when using emersed plants in an aquarium which will now be called submersed.

    I’m beginning my journey into aquascaping by learning as much as I can . You mentioned good co2 distribution throughout the tank . Should you put a waterflow near the co2?

    You should do a video on carpeting plants. What you'd recommend to beginners, especially tanks with low to no c02.

    Hey George! This short video was great... Could you do a video, for beginners, regarding fish breeds, compatibility, and health management? Also, great inexpensive international plant distributors that sell a great range of plants, especially to Australia ;-) Hope you're well :-D, too
