The SK400 Surface Skimmer removes unwanted water surface film to help improve oxygenation and light penetration for a cleaner and healthier aquarium. Over time, surface films can develop from oils on your skin, household dust, cooking smoke, fat content within fish food and more. These films are not only visually unsightly, but also reduce dissolved oxygen (required by fish to breathe) and decrease light levels (needed by live plants to grow).
Flow control slider adjusts overall flow strength, allowing for use in both small and large aquariums (up to 105 US Gal / 400 L).
Energy-efficient - draws only 3.3W for low-cost operation

it takes time to get a good balance ,through the years tried many ideas and found light feeding water movement deep substrate and live plants are crucial ,,,keep us posted fella

Going by your setup I prefer the allponds one. I can change the floss without removing the whole unit.

i really didnt have fun with the aps one and the only reason i got it was its cheap but you are right even the eheim you have to remove the unit but watch this space for a combo unit coming soon
