RECIPE:
Noodle Salad with Seaweed (Serves 4)
INGREDIENTS:
1 8 oz. bag soba noodles
1 cup edamame, shelled, cooked and cooled
½ cup dried wakame (seaweed)
1 cup boiled water
1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
For the dressing:
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
Juice of one lime
1 tablespoon honey
2 teaspoons minced ginger
1 ½ teaspoon sesame oil
¼ cup neutral flavored oil like vegetable or grapeseed
Garnishes
Thinly sliced green onion
Toasted sesame seeds
DIRECTIONS:
Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook the soba noodles according to the directions on the packaging. Rinse and chill in an ice bath to stop the cooking process.
In a small heatproof bowl, pour 1 cup of boiling water over the wakame and allow the seaweed to hydrate. After about five minutes, drain the water and add 1 tablespoon of rice wine vinegar. Stir well and set aside to marinate.
In a small bowl, whisk together the ingredients for the dressing. Allow to sit for five minutes for the flavors to develop.
To serve, fill a bowl with chilled soba noodles. Top with cooked edamame, the marinated wakame, green onions and sesame seeds. Add dressing and toss well. Serve immediately.

About Christy Carlson Romano:
Christy has been a working actress and singer since she was 6 years old. She moved to Los Angeles with her mother when she was 14 to star in the Disney Channel franchise, Even Stevens as Ren Stevens alongside Shia LaBeouf. Christy enjoyed many years with Disney gaining an Emmy nomination for her voice work as Kim Possible and starring on Broadway in Beauty and the Beast. She went on to balance her college career at Barnard College, Columbia University with filming movies for ABC Family including: ‘Campus Confidential’, ‘Taking Five’, ‘The Cutting Edge 2: Going for the Gold’, and ‘The Cutting Edge 3: Chasing the Dream’. Christy returned to Broadway in her mid twenties and learned to puppeteer in the Tony-Award winning ‘Avenue Q’. Christy was married to her husband on New Years Eve , 2013 in Banff, Canada after having met in a screenwriting class in college. She became impassioned with directing and made her debut in Lionsgate’s “Christmas All Over Again”. While she still works as an actress, she enjoys living in Orange County with her husband, Brendan Rooney, and daughters, Isabella and Sophia.

When I was younger I was always mad at Raymond for never acknowledging Claire and Hailey. Then when I was older and rewatched it and realized how big the age difference was, I realized it was probably for the best 😂 and I realized that Cecilia needed even more of a grip. I mean bullying is bad enough, but bullying 7th graders when you are almost 18? Come on!

I actually got curious and looked up the ages. Emma and JoJo were both about 14, Sara was 17 and the girl who played Cecilia was 20 and the guy who played Raymond was 19...yeah the age differences weren’t good😂

I'm way too old to be watching it, but Aquamarine is a guilty pleasure and that was one of the major things I noticed! as a kid at the time it came out, you're likely putting yourself in the shoes of Claire/Hailey and want their fantasies with their crush to be realized, but as an adult, you realize he's thankfully not a complete creep by not seeing them that way lol. he gave them a little kiss on the cheek which was pretty innocent but still fulfilled their summer 'checklist.' also, a part of the friendship emphasis is that despite them being infatuated with Ray and not wanting more "competition" at the start, they genuinely want them together later on and are just happy for Aqua and still see them both in a good light which is very sweet, especially if you consider the time it came out and how girls were often pitted against each other back then (that we kind of see with Cecilia, as awful as she was lol).

yeah good luck with hilary duff and selena gomez. i’m almost positive the reason why she tends to get “lesser known” actors/actresses is because the big ones that went on to be hugely famous rn are/would be hard, and probably impossible, to get on here.
My God! It's Aquamarine herself Sara Paxton. I watched Aquamarine over 100 times and she's my favorite blue hair mermaid.
The fact that grown adults are sending Sara hate over a movie that was made over 10 years ago makes me very upset. Return to Halloweentown was a great movie. Kim was wonderful as Marnie, but Sara was a wonderful replacement. May be an unpopular opinion, but there it is.

I freaked out and bought it and i loved the movie more than the book and ever since then im like i prefer to watch the movie instead of the books lol. I watched SO MUCH stuff this girl was in, oh boy. I remember being a kid and it was always like "Her! Again!" Aquamarine of course, but also Sleepover, Darcy's Wild Life, and episodes of Mary-Kate and Ashley, Malcolm in the Middle, Lizzie McGuire, Wizards of Waverly Place, Jonas, this girl was everywhere! Still as gorgeous as ever.
Every time I think of sara paxton I think of Darcy’s wild life, it was one of my favorite childhood shows
