Now that I think, this song really brings me back around 15 years ago. I started dating a beautiful lady, never had the courage to ask her to be my girlfriend, then we stopped talking like for 4 or 5 years, then she told me she had a boyfriend and a long-short story we stopped talking again, a couple of years later we talked again, both heartbroken and then a few months later we started dating, but this time I was not going to let her go....... and here we are 10 years later.... married and with 2 beautiful kids........ and still loving this woman like the first time.

I heard this song every day at the retail store I used to work at, and loved it so much! Finally was able to find a speaker near enough for my phone to Shazam it (this was 2015, Shazam was everything), found it on KZread, and binge-listened. Still not tired of it! I played it for my now husband when we were discussing potential wedding songs, and I fought valiantly for it, but his response was "Meh, it's ok." Oh well. I can still binge-listen.

This is like their theme song actually. Maris was asked last year kung anong song nag de-describe sa lovelife nya. She said na “Brighter Than Sunshine”, “So Close”, at “Your Universe”. “Let the rain fall. I don’t care. I’m yours and suddenly you’re mine.” Ibig sabihin wala na silang paki sa sasabihin ng iba about their relationship. 😊 Yong let the rain fall I don’t care pa lang na line, already implies courage and bravery. I love how music is just timeless. Heard this song back in the 2000’s when A lot Like Love came out and became an instant favorite movie( criminally underrated btw) and suddenly I’m watching Schitt’s Creek and again this song came around. All the memories and feelings this song made me feel back then are still alive at this instant. I would have loved this guy to go big. They got a great a sound to them. Lead singer's vocals are pretty spot on. Keep doing great things Matthew Hale!

10 years ago I listened to it on repeat after watching A lot like love. I still come here from time to time to remember how beautiful it felt to have hope in love and in what the future held. 😘

I remember seeing Aqualung in a church in Brighton in 2004, I took a woman who I would do absolutely anything for. Beautiful setting with candles lit, she told me if Brighter Than Sunshine played, she would cry happy tears. The first note played and she squeezed my hand. I wish I could have frozen time at that exact moment as life was as good as it got right then. We're still in touch but it wasn't meant to be.
