For ACE even though the video seemed all over the place for people either not of Korean culture or that are unaware of Goblin lore it actually followed the goblin lore pretty literally when it came to colors and clothing. Depending on the type of goblin or the area in SK the lore originated; a goblin is said to have red faces, wear blood covered clothing, wear hanbok (traditional wear) 'normal' clothes when trying to hide in the human world, and like jewelry. So all the red, gaudy jewelry, mix of clothing styles were all meant for symbolism purposes.

Y'all I'm disappointed 😭. I was so excited to see the ACE reaction. I think the concept is really obvious and cool. Its a traditional theme with modern elements. There was obviously one concept. I definitely don't think they were throwing money everywhere. Their outfits are all modernised traditional Korean outfits. Also musically, Goblin is really cool! And interesting. Also ACE can definitely do more than dance. The vocals? The rapping?

For ACE, I’m not going to lie I agree that MV can be kind of jarring and flashy maybe even a little distracting. But I don’t agree with the point that it feels like too many ideas. It was legit just one : bright, loud, Korean lore, that’s it. It felt more of a showcase of the wild and beautiful culture than needing to give you a story to follow. These boys are gaudy and rough all at the same time which can be opposing but I def feel they pull it off!

I disagree heavily with what y’all said about A.C.E song being for the “younger generation” and the laughing during the mv was rude and disrespectful

Considering how we are NOT Korean or aware of every aspect of their culture and we're not like other "reactors" who watch a video 3-4 times and research on the meaning and lyrics and whatnot before recording a video to give the illusion that we just know all this information, we are providing 1st time in real time reactions. People like saying oh Pink Venom is just a bside, it's not that deep. I don't know about y'all but I stan groups with STRONG bsides. It shows a group has more to offer than just title tracks. Bsides shouldn't be placeholders. I like chaos in my music but Pink Venom was a hard swallow. It's literally other songs with a confusing tempo mix. Teddy knows blinks will just accept whatever so he's not even trying anymore.

ACE Yaya. def see what u guys were saying about how the MV felt like everything was just thrown together. for me myself, It never matters if a MV has a set theme/concept or not but I deff get the points u guys pointed out. ide def say the red was on purpose considering how much they used it😂 now even with everything yall pointe out this was still their best mv for me that they have released. ii was the opposite of all the things you guys pointed out. loved all the colors, loved the pretty cultured sets/ clothing. the flashing lights don't bother me unless they r overused like crazy which they weren't for me in this mv. but they always come with the energy and dance their asses off, these boys r def underrated when it comes to dancing in kpop for boy groups. and yeah still don't like pink venom. i knew about Rihanna's line and i wasn't mad about it but i didn't know about all the others.

Everything y’all said about pink venom is spot on. It just was t giving and sounds like every other song they have. I like them as individuals but I can never rock with them as a group like the ( I wouldn’t say stolen but copy ? lyrics ) really blew me cause YG really be trying it 🤷‍♀️

bp have a sound and formula that yge follows because it always charts, it doesn't even sound like anything they've done so far. they've never had such an anti climatic chorus. they do something different and people complain like with lovesick girls and ice cream they get back to the regular bp formula and people complain. they can't ever win.

Everyone saying they’ve "waited 2 years for this" like this isn’t a pre-release and we’re not getting a whole title track and 6 new songs in a week. Also people getting upset about their songs sounding recycled, lots of other artist’s music sound the same if they’ve adopted a certain genre i.e Country, Rock, House etc. In K-pop, people expect groups to always have a new concept but BLACKPINK has their own sound that has proven time and time again to be major hits and I’m not sure why it’s necessary for them to change anything. And when they do experiment, like with Ice Cream or Lovesick Girls people will still complain about it not being hard hitting or impactful enough. If you don’t like their formula then it’s not for you AND THATS FINE. No one is forcing anyone to love Blackpink. But to go online and bash the song or make fun of it is just outright rude and disrespectful.

I dislike because of the reason that the lyrics litearlly make no sense and they have no meaning behind them whatsoever and because of the fact that Teddy just decided to litearlly copy & paste half of the lyrics from older HipHop/R&B songs, but that's just me personally, PV is the only song that I dislike from the album, I love the other songs and feel like Typa Girl & Shut Down should've been the main tracks and PV should've just been thrown in the garbage, but that's just me lol

For me i like this song but it's just something that's not exceptional which am expecting from the biggest girl group in the world. YG should get them to meet some of their boygroups members, they produce themselves they write their own lyrics, and it's much better that what teddy had been doing. They could get something better for BP. You know what whistle was produced by IKON leader BI, and you know what whistle is the most unique BP song, most of what came after was the same teddy formula. So i think they really need some change here

pink venom doesn’t sound like their other titles at all, it had an antidrop chorus. they didn’t waste the money they literally broke the youtube record with 90.4 million views. also your comments on wasted money like y’all must be fun at parties why is it a problem that they were extra with visuals, that’s how it always is with kpop music vids. like y’all were just nitpicking at that point.

i totally agree with you guys in the bp song i was so disappointed when it came out. but this entirely on their prodcer and writer who consider themselves hiphop heads. at this point they're just embarrassing the girls and make them look like they are not evolving at all. the beat switch thing and the hiphop lyrics were actually done better when they started but now it's getting ridiculous but they're not realizing this and just call it 'bp signature sound'

I think you need to use this "intros" for some actual context for the song because for Goblin the concept was very clear if you had some context on Korean history/mythology. I get that the editing/lighting were overwhelming but don't bash a concept just because you don't know about it.

If some fans don't like Pink Venom, that's fine of course. But NO ONE should ever speak in behalf of all Blinks. I loved the song so stop saying Blinks were disappointed. For goodness sake, four of their most popular songs have over a million dislikes. There will always be haters along with disappointed Blinks that will always resurface after every comeback. DDu DD DDu DD is the only comeback I can recall that did not come with mix reviews. In other words, nothing new with these criticisms. I'm no blind blink. The reactors criticisms are valid. Music is about personal preferences. I just happened to love it.

Well to be fair I feel like the reason why a lot of people don't like it is because of the fact that it does kind of sound like a stereotypical Blackpink song, people eventually get bored hearing the same thing over and over again. Me personally I love their songs Lovesick Girls & Playing w/fire & Stay because I felt like it has been the songs that have sounded the most different out of their other songs. People like variety and they like when artists branch out and try new things. I feel like another reason why people didn't like this song (especially Black people) was because of the amount of culture appropriation that was within this song, and you can't deny that. There's a difference between paying homage to someone/something and then just straight up getting word for word and bar for bar. They didn't pay homage, they straight up copied. (and by they I mean Teddy, I don't blame the girls because I know their not the ones who wrote it, I blame Teddy, like mans wasn't even trying to hide the fact that he copied) But that's for other people, the reason why I personally didn't like Pink Venom that much was because: 1. The lyrics could've been better, I am very much a person who likes lyrics and the meaning behind them, and the lyrics to this song just didn't make sense and they were dumb Example: "it's tonight, I'm a flower with venom, after taking your soul, look what you made us do", like that's just a no. Example 2: "Already spread, shot that potion, pink ocean right before your eyes" Like I'm not even gonna comment on that one... And here is the absolute WORST lyric in the whole song: "Come and give me all the smoke, all or nothing, like I'm so rock & roll", like what the absolute hell is that even supposed mean... 2. Another reason why I don't like Pink Venom was because of the end with the "RA TA TA, RA TA TA". Like it just wasn't hitting for me. I loved all the other songs on the album, Pink Venom is literally the only one I did not like, I personally feel like they should've made the main songs on the album Typa Girl & Shut Down and I feel like they should've just thrown PV in the trash. I rank their album a 9.5/10 the only reason why it's not a 10 for me is because PV is on it.

I didn’t like pink venom at all it was very underwhelming for a song people have waited two years for like rookie groups who have been out for a year have more music than them. I also don’t feel like it was appropriation just because we didn’t like it you know. I would view it as appropriation if I felt like it was disrespectful and though I didn’t like it doesn’t mean it was appropriation same if I heard a song I liked but the lyrics and video was disrespectful or not aligned to what hip hop or black culture is just because I liked it doesn’t make it appreciation i don’t know if I made any sense but that I feel.

I would like it more if it wasn't straight up just Teddy copying and pasting literally WORD FOR WORD & BAR FOR BAR of previous Classic HipHop/R&B songs, like they weren't paying homage, they literally was just copying and pasting, and also the lyrics made little to no sense whatsoever, and the amount of switch ups, it was like it was a new song every 5 seconds. I feel like Shut Down was about 1000x better than Pink Venom. I feel like Teddy has come to the point where he knows Blinks would literally just eat up anything and everything so he basically kinda just gave up and is just there to get his money's worth lol. This is not the type of song you wait 2 years for imo
