Normally he does care for Shake but whenever Shake goes to far Frylock and Meatwad will just ditch him leave him behind and let these bad things happen to him

I'd say that monsters are unnatural. Compared to space creatures which are just alien. As an example, the Aqua Team hunger force are monsters.
