Awesome review! Could you elaborate on the instability caused by the weights being near the back? It seems to be the only thing that's shying me away from this device. Thank you!

This is the exact problem I had when I tried this BCD out in open water. The weight that you can ditch is place in a rear, vertical position, which is quite a problem when/if you need to ditch it. It's quite hard to reach, especially if you do drysuit diving. Also, because they were so far back, I kept rolling around horizontally in the water. The weights flip you on your back, but the air in the bcd flips you back. A lot of divers I spoke with said they really love their rogue, and it just took some personal adjusting and getting to know how the BCD works before they really started to like it. It also has a lot to do with your own experience and buoyancy control. I'm still a relatively new diver, and it was my first time in a drysuit when I also tried the BCD, so that's something to consider as well

Question for the OW Instructors out there who have this BCD; how difficult is it to demonstrate the weight pocket remove/replace skill with the weights configured as they are?

Hey guys. First, love the channel! Great info and super fun content. I have a request. I've dived jacket style BCDs since I started diving in 1998 but now I want to "upgrade" to a wing style. I've narrowed down to either the Aqua Lung Rogue or the Scubapro Hydros Pro. Could you do a side by side comparison video of these two? Or maybe a top five wing style BCD for the mostly travel diver? Thanks so much! And Safe Diving!

I wonder what you ended up choosing and if you like it?

Hi all, i am moving to Utila in a couple of months to complete my IDC and MSDT courses so am about to invest in a BCD. Was just wondering if anyone has experience using this BCD for instructing etc, where it is a very minimalist wing style I wasn’t sure if it may come with some problems when demonstrating skills etc, and if it’s a tough enough BCD to get battered around when used so heavily. Thanks in advance for any input :)
