Hi there, watch the demo properly! You do it wrong. To open the Dome III up, first release BOTH knobs and then close one by one! It´s much easier! ;-)

Thanks, what a great video and a remarkable difference between the domes. I have the Light Dome SE and was looking to replace it with the Light Dome Mini III. I took some side-by-side stills of your video for comparison, and I was amazed at how much softer the SE was than the Mini III for the primary camera on your face. Do you think that adding a second diffusion layer to the Mini III would make a difference?

Great review! Do you recommend any other softboxes for a talking head set up which is smaller than the light dome iii?

I liked the Light Dome 3 best, the mini 3 2nd, and the SE last as it was the darkest.

I’m not sure. I use it with the Amaran 200XS. The connection is a 3 spoke and that’s where the light modifiers connect to

As long as it is a bowens mount it works and pretty much all COB lights nowadays are bowens mount@@HalfManHalfTech
