Good review. I can't help but think the tide has turned on the 660 as far as reviews. When it first came out it seemed most riders were poo'ing the bike as inferior to the T7. Reading between the lines had me liking the Aprilia more. Now it seems most reviews are favoring the Tuareg and finding less fault.

As others have said, this is an exemplary and totally focused review of an ADV bike. In Britain, there are plenty of these bikes available with under a thousand miles/1600 kms with a sub £9k price tag. Judging by this very thorough workout, it's hard to think of a better bang for your buck for a standard new/nearly new ADV machine.

Hey Chris - there was absolutely more room to firm it up further. Realistically I wasnt going to be launching any harder than off some of those (or I would have gone another click or two). So the setting I found was right for the pace and type of riding I wanted to do. For blokes who want to load it up further there is still plenty of scope left.

I hope Aprilia launches this in India soon. The 600 cc segment is severely lacking here. The available options (Versys, VSTROM, Tiger) can't be classified as true ADVs. The bigger 900/1200cc are just way too big and expensive. And Yamaha India absolutely sucks. They're still selling 150cc motorcycles. The Tuareg will be perfect a d if prices around 10 lac Indian Rupees, will sell well.

I am a person who likes to see a clear winner. As your riding skill is very high, it would just close the book which bike is best... Like the old days of bike comparo's, we always used to have a clear winner... I get very tired of testers and people reviews on bikes but then dance around the true performance. Seeing how in reality we truely only have 2 bikes that have it. Aprilia and Yamaha. Just my honest opinion. I'm already biased to Italian anyway
