There is never a point you're "over" the loss of a pet. They're in your heart and thoughts forever. I still cry thinking of my cats and I lost them years ago, and I lost 2 more this year and it's devastating. All that happens is there are longer periods of time in between the deep grief and sadness.

I sure hope Neens is going to be okay! I lost my baby girl a year ago in march and I’ll never get over losing her. She was 14.6 and had chronic kidney disease and I tried everything to save her but knew when her day came.

I have a senior Pomeranian who in the last 3 months tore his ACL, got diagnosed with a B2 grade heart murmur and heart disease and is now showing signs of small focal seizures. I understand the sadness around birthdays!! My son also has a bday in May except he will be turning 12. I’ve already been crying because this is his last “child” birthday. Next year is a teenage year. It’s so bitter sweet!

Omg! We loved Ms. Rachel when my daughter was little. She was a late talker but learned signs quickly. It really helped my little communicate her needs. She is now 10 and talks like she is 21 but we still sign as a secret language.
