I had a cat like April once. Normally she hated affection and would run if I tried to pick her up or hug her, but if I was sick or feeling depressed, she would come and lay down on me and purr to try to make me feel better.

Same. Ann is in my top 3 favorites. And she really deserved better writers. But for what it is, I enjoyed her role in the show. I really get sad when she leaves Park & Rec tho, the show gets a little too wacky without her imo.
